No lightweight, Big Daddy I.P.A. tips the scales with a huge hop flavor and a dry, clean finish that leaves the scene without a trace.

Some gwood stuff. little head, but a nice golden color. the taste is a soury-citrusy-ish taste with a light lingering lemony aftertaste.

UPDATED: NOV 4, 2007 ReRate 11/4/07: Hoppy citrus and cascade aroma with a lot of resin. Poured golden in color with a medium, rocky white head that diminished. Clear. Lightly sparkling. Bitter resin hop flavor. Medium body. Average texture. Average carbonation. Cascade hop finish. Overall, an ok IPA. The most floral beer I have ever had. 10/2/9/4/17=4.2

Sour & bitter are two very present qualities of this IPA. Loaded with hops yet takes my palate in an direction i usually dont expect from an IPA. Has a unique sour citrus taste all its own. Very different from other ipas in its region.

fraternie (812) - Chicago, Illinois, USA - MAY 17, 2003
Promising aroma contains strong citrus/apple notes and caramel undertones, but the malt fails to deliver on all of it. Some citrus and caramel, a touch of sourness, and a lot of hops in the malt. Overly grassy. The beer is saved by its superb balance and soft mouthfeel.

Pours a light golden color that seems quite light for the style. The aroma is a little different, some malt and some hops, but perhaps some grassy aromas. Flavor has a nice bitter element, but without being overly intense. Certainly a nice balance of malt and hops. Nice caramel, citrus and pine elements. Decent, but not outstanding.

Delightfully hoppy and very refreshing. Unfortunate straw color, but otherwise a solid IPA. Strong woody hop flavor with solid bitterness.

Yellowish color. Citrusy nose, slightly woody hops. Body is smooth and very bitter. Long, typical IPA, maybe not the freshest sample, but still nothing to write home about.

Hazy light golden color with a light cream colored head. Interesting aromas. Mix of caramel coated lemon blossoms. To be honest not the best aromas, but very intriguing aromas that make you inhale and think. This one gets points (like T IJ) for some interestng aromas. Aroma becomes more like lemon drops as the more volatile aromas are driven off. Lemon drops with a sprig of evergreen mix in the mouth. Lace all the way down the glass. While IMO not a great IPA, it is one of those beers that makes you sit back, quaff and analyze. Late caramel flavors load the mouth and sweep away the hops demons swimming in this one.

Nice session beer. Good example of the style. Crisp, clean, refreshing. Not as bitter as I would have expected from a beer bottle inquiring who my father was?

Draught (S.F. Toronado pub). Sweet aroma with heavy, floral hops. Small, white head with fair lacing. Clear, flat, gold body. Good mix between hoppiness and sweetness. I've had some brews that are similarly hoppy, but dry that leave an unsatisfying finish. This is different and quite good.
