roner77 (35), Portland, Oregon, USA Feb 28, 2006 Big Daddy is a one of the easiest drinking IPA’s I’ve had. Wonderfully aroma of citrus and pine greet the nose, the color is a pale amber. A found the taste full of fruity west coast hops. I would still prefer a beer of more complexity, but I enjoyed this beer immensely due to it’s ease of drinking.
fonefan (5425), Ulfborg, Denmark Nov 19, 2008 Bottle 12fl.oz. @ home.
[ Trade by Papsoe ]. Unclear hazy medium orange color with a large, frothy, excellent lacing, fully lasting, off-white head. Aroma is light to moderate malty, caramel, fruity, moderate to heavy hoppy, pine, orange. Flavor is moderate to light heavy sweet and bitter with a average to long duration. Body is medium, texture is oily to watery, carbonation is soft. (300808) Beardface (238), Eugene, Oregon, USA Oct 19, 2008 Cloudy, dense orange pour with an off white and thin head. Seems fairly lightly hopped to me and kind of bland, a little too fruity as well. Not bad, but there are many better options in this style. caesar (2654), Bunnik/Utrecht, Netherlands Oct 16, 2008 Tap @ Jacks, SF. Clear golden color, short head. Good hoppy aroma. Decent bitter taste, malty body. Nice IPA. Drink4Satan (494), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA Sep 30, 2008 Pours a hazy prange colour with a thin white head that leaves decent lacing. The nose displays a resin-like hop quality and caramel. The flavour is intanse and gently hopped while on the palate, but completely fades out in the finish as if it were never there. There is a nice citric flavour, too with some tropicalfruit flavours. It is extemely drinkable, as it displays hop flavour more than it does bitterness. The palate is thin and the finish is dry and super clean. emerica56 (494), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA Sep 30, 2008 The appearance is a cloudy orange amber with a thin head and some mild laceing allong the sides of the glass. The aroma is full of pine and spruce scent mixed with floral hops. Initially the flavor is full of pine and bitter hops and caramel malt and the flavor is well balanced. But the finish is very dry and as soon as you finish a sip of beer the flavor cuts out and nothing is left on your palate.
