Bottle. Pleasant hop aroma. You can feel the alcohol tingling the tongue more than you can taste it, a nice effect. Bitter, piny hops perfectly balanced with minimal but noticeable malt body make this a great beer for drinkers of strong IPA. Ideal for drinking slowly, savoring each sip. (Note: all things considered, this is among my favorite beers.)

Pours a stately golden color with a tightt head of white. Laces minimally. Aromas of hop oils and sweet caramel malts in tandem. Fruity hop flavor begins, but dissipates in short order. Maltiness is huge and sticky. With each sip, another coating of oils and sugars cling to the lips. Drinkable, more so than a DIPA should. However, with the interplay of hops and malts, this leans away from DIPA-land after every sip. Barleywine-ish to me.

Pours a clear gold with a thin white head. Nice aroma, little citrus and floral. Not much malt sweetness, a lot of bitterness. A little sharp. Solid beer though.

This beer pours into the glass with a dense rocky head that lasted throughout the tasting. The aroma is of floral and citrus hops backed up with light caramel malt. The flavor is very sweet with a moderate bittering that has moderate duration. The floral hops do not appear in the flavor. The carbonation is very good which adds the the nicce mouthfeel and body. The lacing is excellent.

Pours bright gold into a snifter. Fluffy white conglomerate head with good retention leaves sheet lacing as it recedes. Resin and weed aromas. Literally smells like fresh herb. Sharp hops from front to back. Little malt backbone. Sharp, lasting resin finish. Become rather astringent as it warms...but high points for the aromatics...

Pours with a small, foamy, white head covering a clear, orange body. Aroma of grapefruit with lots of malts (biscut and chocolate). Taste is malty, but an easy to drink DIPA/IIPA. I would have enjoyed, a bit more sweetness, and a larger hop profile, but this is good for someone who is unfamiliar with lots of hops. Syrupy mouthfeel with light bubbles.

Enjoyed this one @ Thrash Zone, Yokohama, Japan. Gorgeous clear amber with a fluffy head. Slight nose of pine wrapped in banana peels.. Mouthfeel is super smooth and without a doubt far more smooth than the bottled version. Lots of hops present in the taste, somewhat aggressive but working well with the malts. Everybody wins. Tingle on the tongue of alcohol and hop bitterness with an outstanding finish that lasts and lasts.

From a bottle. Pours a hazy amber color with whitre head. Aromas of floral hops and grapefruit. big floral hops, citrus, caramel, and some soapy flavor. Alcohol is well hidden. Not alot of balance between malt and hops but thats how I like my IIPAs.
