3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a light hazy yellow with a small white head.Has a nice hop aroma, but not as powerful as you would expect from a double IPA.Taste of nice hop bite with a slight hint of malt.Has a very thin body, not that of a typical double IPA.Although it does have a nice hop finish.I would consider this a good IPA rather than a Double IPA.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a golden amber with small, quickly dissipating head. Aroma is big, with piney and citrus notes. Taste is bitter and earthy, again some pine and citrus, especially in the finish. Pretty big body, and not much of an alcohol burn. Enjoyed this.

3.1 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours an apple juice golden color, with thick white head that has no real staying power. Nose is powerful and hoppy with some heavy citrus and pine notes and a slightly off sour mustiness. Flavor is smooth and mildly bitter with nice hop notes that range from grassy to floral and citrusy. A nice residual sweetness. Lacks the power of some double ipa’s, really just a strong ipa.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
UPDATED: MAR 16, 2006 (12oz Bottle. 03/2006) I couldn’t resist. I had to have one of these ... and it’s not even 7am! Sorry, eyedrinkale, you’ve only got 11 now. But who can blame me, really? A huge hop aroma, piney, resinous ... deninitely resinous ... some maltiness coming through, but, no ... its all hops ... some phenols, actually (a bit of pepper). Big, moussy, white head which lasts pretty nicely and produces a lot of lace on the glass. Caramel, peppery, and hops are what you get int the taste. Resinous, oily mouthfeel. Medium-full bottied. Very bitter finish and aftertaste. Clean, crisp, and dry in the end, however.

3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Extremely hoppy aroma with hints of pine and orange. Clear orange beer with a small white head that is mostly diminishing. Heavy on the bitterness at first with more piney hoppiness. Finishes a little cleaner than a lot of DIPAs with a good amount of citrus. Not so much of a heavy malty background that Hercules and 90 Minute seem to have. Very enjoyable.

3.9 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Light amber in color. Little head. Crystal clear. Amazing aroma of mango, guava, marischino cherries and American Hops, maybe Warrior or Horizon with some Centennial? Floral and fruity. Clean and candy like in flavor showcasing a fresh and delicate hop presence. This is 9.5%? I never would have guessed. Really nice ale.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a slightly hazy golden amber with a large fluffy off white lacing head. Aroma of pine, some citrus with a sweet malty balance. Flavors of the same...more bitter than I expected from a IIPA. Actually not a whole lot different than the Big Daddy IPA, just a higher ABV, which I didn’t detect much for being 9.5%

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12 oz bottle poured a golden/orange color. Thin, quickly diminishing white head with some lacing. Good hoppy aroma with notes of citrus and pine. Flavor was rather mild for a double IPA. Some hop bitterness with a good crisp aftertaste. Alciohol is well hidden. Seemed more like a regular IPA.
