Doubling down on malt & hops, DOUBLE DADDY raises the stakes. With it’s good looks & No-Limit style,DD takes the pot every time.

Pours a slightly hazy golden amber with a large fluffy off white lacing head. Aroma of pine, some citrus with a sweet malty balance. Flavors of the same...more bitter than I expected from a IIPA. Actually not a whole lot different than the Big Daddy IPA, just a higher ABV, which I didn’t detect much for being 9.5%

12 oz bottle poured a golden/orange color. Thin, quickly diminishing white head with some lacing. Good hoppy aroma with notes of citrus and pine. Flavor was rather mild for a double IPA. Some hop bitterness with a good crisp aftertaste. Alciohol is well hidden. Seemed more like a regular IPA.

This beer keeps the aroma and flavors of the big daddy, but finally brings the punch. The added hops provide an added bite as well as a far more complex finish. Certainly not best imperial out there category, yet still a finely crafted beer.

This double IPA pours a solid gold color with hardly any bubbles rising to the top. Head is a thick coat of foam across the snifter and has huge air bubbles that wont pop. Aroma is light and has the classic signature of west coast hops, grapefruit, pine and musk.. The drink is actually quite soft with mild flavor of hop and pine and background of metallic and a bitter finish. Not impressing, although, i wouldnt say it was a dull Imperial IPA.

Pretty good, not over the top IIPA. Good piney aroma that will open sinuses. Taste is full with alcolhol, grapefruit, and big time west coast hops.

Bottled. Hazy amber, small head. Grapefruity nose with notes of peach. Sweetish with bold, rounded mouthfeel. Aromawise it os rather restrained, but the bitterness is powerful.

UPDATED: MAR 12, 2007 Good aroma, slightly above average coppery color, and reasonable flavor for an IPA. For an IPA, not a double IPA, in which case, it’s average, and lacking in the genre’s intensity. $3/12oz

Tropical fruits and newly cut grass in aroma. A bit lactic taste, but not too much. Big refreshing bitterness.

This double IPA was very smooth. It was very enjoyable, the high abv level was faint, hard to believe it’s 9.5%. Cirtus aromas, this beer is loaded with hops. Overall delicious. Instant hop fix.

Bottle. Golden yellow pour with decent lacing head. Large grapefruit rind and citrus aroma, with some amounts of sweet caramel. More huge hop flavors - grapefruit rindy, decently balanced with sweet caramel hops. Alcohol was decently hidden and the beer was warming.
