12 oz. bottle, purchased in a 4-pack from BevMo. Pours clear light orange with a small off-white head that leaves spotty lace. Aroma is dominated by piney and grapefruit hops along with a slightly dusty characteristic. Flavor is also dominated by the hops, again the dusty, grapefruit variety with pine and spruce as well, some malt sweetness is also noticible, but barely, along with a slight alcohol burn. Medium body, gentle smooth carbonation and deceptively easy to drink considering the abv. Good, but somewhat one-dimensional.

Bottles courtesy of Wohlfs and MrDick. Pours copper with little head. Lots of citrus in aroma, but more funky than hoppy if that makes sense. Initial flavor is all caramel malt with some bitter citrus/ grapefruit in the finish. Very astringent/metallic like.

12 oz bottle. Golden orange beer thick white head. Great fresh hop aroma. Cascades dominate but there’s also some tropical fruit and a touch of pine and spice. Flavour is well-balanced with a spicy and citrusy hop flavour, a bit of grapefruit and light crystal malt sweetness. Tingly hop resins and alcohol give it a cooling feeling in the mouth. Lingering hoppiness keeps it refreshing. Very drinkable.

Good dark golden color, small but long lived white head that left a slight lace behind. The aroma was citrusy and piney with a a slight mild malt in the back ground to go along with the grapefruit side. The flavor is a little malty up front then a quick change to hops and citrusy grapefruit with a good bitterness in the middle and end. It’s a little heavy on the pallate but still a pretty good showing from these guys and well worth having more around for some other time.

On tap at Drafting Room. Poured a golden/copper body with a bumpy beige head. Aroma was all pine needles. Flavor was pine, flowers, and some citrus. Thicker, sticky mouthfeel. Solid IIPA.

Bottle. Mildly plesant grassy lemony nose with a good dose of hops. Taste-hops are very nice without being sticky or resiny. Good malt back bone to back up the hops. Nicely balanced. Much like the Breckenridge 471 IIPA, I think this is much more of a 1.5X IPA than a 2X IPA. Still quite nice. Deserves better than a 3.2, but that’s the way the #’s came out. Oh well.

Golden/amber, irregular off-white head. Pine aroma, big and delicious, with a bit of malt for balance. The flavor was far less enjoyable, with a note of fake cocoa powder (as in chocolate milk) and vegetables. Not as much on the citrus side as the pine side of the IPA world.

UPDATED: NOV 21, 2005 Bottled. Pours an orange/golden color. Virtually no head. Aroma is very hoppy and citric. Smells a little bit like a forest. Nice hoppy kick. Quite a bit of malt flavor comes through. Bitter finish with just a hint of alcohol. Easy drinker. This is a brew that can really sneak up on you, I’m guessing.

GOOD! tart citrus hop nose, big vanilla head on a golden torso, smooth hop caramel lingering in the background, citrus ester finish, dry, alc well disguised, really good
