3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
12oz. bottle thanks to Tever. Clear amber/orange color with a good sized dense head that left nice lacing. Pine and citrus hop aroma with some caramel sweetness. Reading other reviews, many people seem to think the alcohol is well hidden. The first thing I noticed when I took a sip was the alcohol, not that it is a bad thing. Mildly sweet caramel malt flavor along with a bitter hop finish. A bit astringent.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
12oz - thanks zug4abby - Aroma of sweet chewy hops with carmel malt backing it up. Pours transparent brown/orange with a small head and great lacing. Flavor is sweet and hoppy. Interestingly balanced for 9.5% and that alcohol is hidden very well. Palate is clean and tart. Easy drinking (aka dangerous) high ABV brew and very tasty.

3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bottled. While waiting for the bus I ran back a while to Oliver Twist. Orange, hazy colour with small white head. Aroma is strongly hopped, and slightly acidic. Flavour is hopped (acidic) and also the alcohol shows, but balances the bitterness up a bit. Decent Imperial IPA.

UPDATED: JUL 12, 2006 Draught at Stuffed Sandwich, San Gabriel
Pleasant copper-amber liquid with a moderate off-white head. Surprisingly malty aroma. Strong citric and grassy hop aroma. Large hop bitterness with a strong malt counter-balance. Well carbonated.

3.7 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Bottle. Pours bright copper with creamy white head. The aroma has a ton of caramel, pine sap, and wildflowers. There are also wafts of cookie dough and tangerine. The flavor is, well, bitter. But it starts out with tangerine and a little bit of malt before the heavy pinelike hops set in. Then itís piney and citric hops all the way, with just a bit of a sour edge to it. The finish is surprisingly clean, considering, and the bitterness doesnít linger for very long. A smooth quaff.

3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
Bottle. Riased stakes, well it smells citrus-malty like many "single" ipas, but it does have a lot of flavor. the malt-hop balance is bitter grapefruit most of the way, with a slight hint of tin. Itís a pretty orange amber but loses a point in my book for having no head. the palate is full, andit sticks to the roof of your mouth, has a substantial grapefruit finish. All in all, pretty good stuff, Iíd be happy to have lots of this though I can find a few better ones. The alcohol verges towards the hot on some sips. It is not long before this goes to the head.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
a cloudy pour with a lot of froth, like machine-washing a bushel of peaches-- itís a thick fruity compote with enough suds to bathe a buffalo. there are dramatic slashes of lace sagging downward across the glass like the aftermath of a great dog fight between the luftwaffe and royal air force. aroma features both the coarse notes of cardboard and the delicate floral notes of basmati rice-- along with soap, wet lumber and pineapple husk. to my senses there is little discernable alcohol to tempt or taunt, but a strong bitterness permeates the simple malts, with a creamy feel and brisk carbonation. some orange sherbert sweetness confers diplomatically with lemon-bar, tea-like bitterness.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
I preferred Big Daddy to Double Daddy. Malty aroma with lots of hops. Doesnít jump out as a Double. Dark amber. Thin head. Tastes like a well balanced dry hopped IPA. Canít believe the alcohol percentage. Long lite hop finish is surprising in its long duration. A gentle giant.

3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a clear golden color with a faint head. Light carbonation. Very light lacing. Nice citrus, floral hop aroma. Flavor has a lot of hops with some light, sweet malt background. Very smooth finish. No alcohol warming. Medium body. A very nice beer.
