I found this mediocre and disappointing. It’s heavy on the tongue and not a sessionable choice.

Amber pour with a thick foamy head. Smells malty and the taste follows. Hops are non existent until the finish, which give of an earthy taste.

Double Daddy pours a golden orange color with a medium sized off white cap. Aroma of citrus and slightly herbal. Flavor is of malt and citrus hops. Va very good double. You can't go wrong with speakeasy. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

NEw label. For reference had a dorado before this. SMell is earthy, malts, and citrus hops. Flavor is not bitter at all. Smooth fruitiness, flaoral notes, grapefruit pith creeps in, not caramel malt but sweet malt for balance. Not bad.

Oh, heck yeah-- this is just what I needed to remind me of the awesome, awesome beers that come out of Speakeasy. . . that for the most part I can’t get here in Chi. This is exactly what it should be-- a nice, huge, juicy, resiny DIPA. It also has that great malt note that many of Speakeasy’s beers feature-- such a nice balance to the hoppiness. Not too tart, not too much-- a thoroughly enjoyable and drinkable dipa.
