Poured from Bomber to a pint glass. Great looking pour, creamy head. Has the aroma you would expect from a DIPA - heavy on the pine. Nice taste upfront, crisp hops, followed to quickly by a bitter finish. The bitter lingers a bit to long on the aftertaste. Not as smooth as some of my favorite DIPAs. I really like the Big Daddy IPA so I was looking for more here. Wishin I had grabbed a Maximus instead.

Bomber from Craft Beer Base. Slightly opaque gold, small white head. Aroma has lots of pine hops and malty resin. Flavour starts with super bitter hops, a bit of malts and a long bitter finish.

Bomber pours a hazy orange with a big creamy off-white head that leaves lots of lacing. Aroma is full of pine resin and grapefruit with some bready malts present as well. Taste is bitter but not over-the-top. The malts provide some sweetness in the middle before a long, slightly boozy and somewhat bitter finish. Body is medium to full with an almost creamy mouthfeel, due to below-average carbonation. I definitely prefer this to the regular Big Daddy IPA. It’s an IIPA I’ll gladly try again.

Tasted at Willow Park Beer Bash 2014. Unfortunately, there was no time for detailed notes - and I only made it through half my list even so!

"Liked Big Daddy, didn’t care for Vendetta IPA, so not sure what to expect here. Overall, not too shabby (though I still prefer Big Daddy). Big, resinous, pine sap and citrus. Malt heavy too with a big body and a lasting finish."

Growler from Central Liquors. Pours with little head, and this was just poured from the keg 20 minutes ago. Golden orange, clear, aroma of orange citrus, apricot and malt. Going to let the rest chill for an hour, may make it a bit crisper. Leaves a light lacing on the glass, head reforms if you give it a hearty swirl. Orange and apricot hints through the aftertaste. Expected a stronger hop force field, but can see where this might appeal to those who like IPAs and IIPAs but not over-the-top-hops. Will buy again, but not at the top of the list.

Transfer from BA review on 4-26-13- Poured from bomber into a snifter glass Appearance – The beer pours a clear copper color with a nice thick and billowy off- white head. The head has a good level of retention, slowly fading to leave a nice level of lace on the sides of the glass. Smell – The aroma is heaviest of malt with lots of bready and caramel smells. Mixed with this is a good dose of a boozy aroma as well as some moderately strong pine and grapefruit hop. Taste – The taste begins with a big malty taste upfront with a more lightly hoped flavor of a grapefruit hop variety. As the taste advances some tropical fruit sweetness comes to the tongue with it at the same time being counterbalanced by some flavors of a more resinous pine hop entering as well. Toward the end of the taste, the grapefruit citrus hop resurges and is joined by some hop flavors of a more earthy variety. The combination of hop and malt are met, at the very end, by a rather light alcohol taste, leaving a moderately grapefruit bitter but smooth malty and somewhat sweeter flavor to linger on the tongue. Mouthfeel –The body of the beer was on the slightly thicker and creamier side with a carbonation level that was just below average. The thicker and creamier body were rather nice for the malty and hopped flavors of the brew with the lower carbonation being perfect for producing a nice sipper in combination with the flavors with alcohol taste presence. Overall – A rather malty and smooth double IPA with a rather balanced flavor profile. It’s not too complex but rather tasty. Well worth a try.

Golden with rimming lacy white head; aroma is lightly hoppy and mainly grainy; Flava is lightly hoppy and mainly tangy malt; feels light to medium decent fizz; finishes dry slightly tangy and malty.
