BMan1113VR (762), Los Angeles (and Dallas, TX), California, USA May 11, 2008 Pours with a small, foamy, white head covering a clear, orange body. Aroma of grapefruit with lots of malts (biscut and chocolate). Taste is malty, but an easy to drink DIPA/IIPA. I would have enjoyed, a bit more sweetness, and a larger hop profile, but this is good for someone who is unfamiliar with lots of hops. Syrupy mouthfeel with light bubbles.

Small foam that dissapears rather fast. Big fresh hop aroma and some caramel. The taste is also loaded with hops and a good bite. There is also some caramell taste to balance this good brew. Bungalo22 (255), Bridgeport, Connecticut, USA Aug 18, 2008 Pours a light orange or slightly cloudy yellow. It smells of hops and more hops. I also pulled some light citrus fruit aromas. Very nice. It tastes hoppy and pine laden. I was surprised though that I picked up that tangy, citrus like aroma in the flavor as well. Very interesting. I liked. A very good IPA. Just below the tippy-top tier in my opinion but in the contest. Fruitfly (29), , Pennsylvania, USA Aug 17, 2008 Pours orange, hazy, amber. Aroma is rich with toasted malts and citrus hops including orange and some pine. Little but fine lace. A revivingly strong bitterness that mellows to a lightly astringent finish. Like a slightly unripe melon. Nice balance of sweetness in the flavour but the strong hops take over in the end. jonno (151), Japan Aug 15, 2008 Good solid version of the style. Doesn’t really distinguish itself, much like the other speakeasy brews timfoolery (333), California, USA Aug 8, 2008 Bottle from Food Co-Op in Davis, CA. I just drank this one straight from the bottle. The hops were flavored floral and sweet citrus fruit, while the backbone was malty for a DIPA. Good palate; I just walked away, and there was absolutely no aftertaste. Nice.
