On tap at Toronado. This black beer poured with a thin beige head and an oak aromma. There is a carbonated slightly sour smoked malt flavor with a warm alcohol trail. This is a nice version of a porter which is very well-balanced.

On tap. Dark brown with an orange hue and a beige head. Sweet dark malts in the nose with a discreet whiff of bourbon. Quite full-bodied, sweetish hard roasted malt, sweet notes of vanilla and oak. Hardly any bitterness. Smooth and pleasant. 100709

Draught at the brewery during RBSG09. They said this was a blend of their porter aged in barrels, and a stronger beer that made it come out to 10%abv. Black with a beige head. Chocolate, caramel, oak, and coffee aroma. The flavor is chocolate and caramel with light bourbon and oak. Light in the mouth for its size, but I like that. Pretty good balance of bourbon and darker chocolate flavors.
