Clear light orange gold. Fluffy white head, lasting. Aroma surprises with tropical fruit along with some floral. A good example where the deScription really matched my experience (and I hadn’t read the deScription prior to tasting). Plenty of hop flavor which lingers through the finish, leaving a resin/grassy aftertaste. Enough pale malty sweetness to keep things in check. Light, crisp, and refreshing. Minimal bitterness. Mild dryness. Good drinkability and interesting enough to want more.

Bottle at LEn. Bright orange-gold with a low head. Citrus hop nose, some dankness, lemon and orange. Dank hop flavor, Mosaic comes through, tropical fruit, oranges, passion fruit. Mull malt, a bit sweet. Good, but not very lager like.

Lot darker than I would have thought for a lager beer. Great Aroma and looks great in the glass, nice head, no lacing. Taste though is odd and somewhat strange, it might supposed to be grapefruit but I thought it was a bit plastic and chemical. Odd that.

Pours clear golden-amber with a 1-finger off-white head. Aroma mixes notes of grass and citrus. Light body, a bit watery, but with a light astringency in the finish. Mild flavor of citrus with notes of grass and grain beneath.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Rated as a golden/premium lager, this was poured into a pilsener glass.
The appearance was a hazy bronzed to golden color. A one and a half finger white foamy head started and dissipated fairly quickly. Spotty lacing clung in a semi-bubbly manner. Carbonation was seen rising at a decent pace.
The smell had a sweet grassy hop bleeding into light bready/biscuit malts.
The taste copied the smell lending a hand to a sweet stickiness rolling into the aftertaste and finish.
On the palate, this one sat about a light to medium on the body with a nice sessionable grassy feel over my tongue.
Overall, as a premium/golden lager, what more is one expecting. I might not get the floral and tropical fruity notes, but still this is definitely one of the better ones of its style. It would definitely be better with its respected food.

Clear golden colour with a small off-white head.
Fruity and peachy hops, moderate bitterness and some balancing malt in the aroma. Sweet fruity hops, moderate bitterness and dark sweet notes in the flavour. Super drinkable.

(01/12/15 14:57) Pours a red tinged gold with a short lasting pure white head. Floral and sweet tropical fruit (mango) hop character. Flavours bring light caramel malts and a bitter balance. Prickly carbonation and a slightly sticky mouthfeel.

I only know Speakeasy for hoppy West Coast style ales. Brewery sets out and suceeds in building a better Premium Lager. Golden pour, malt aroma, light bodied with sweet caramel and subtle grapefruit falvor in the aftertaste. Metropolis Lager was part of a mixed case.
