COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Metropolis Lager pours a radiant gold, with tropical fruit aromas and a delicate floral note. Caramel malts lend a subtle sweetness to balance the dry, crisp character of the lager yeast. Generously dry-hopped with a blend of Mosaic and Saphir hops, Metropolis unites classic German-style brewing and West Coast innovation to create a refreshing yet flavorful lager.

Nie szczędzili go nawet do lagera ;) Są cytrusy i inne owoce. Podobnie w smaku. Fajna, grejpfrutowa goryczka, przyjemne nuty owocowe.

12 ounce from hayduke that we had together via facebook chat. A big white creamy head leaves cool lacing. Lots of bubbles rising. A well hopped aroma is citrus and classic American hops. Flavor, too. This could easily pass for a pale ale. Fruit dominates and is citrus and tropical. The edges are smoothed out which is the only effect of lagering I notice. This is tasty and if there ever becomes a style called India Pale Lager this would fit nicely.

Shared with Strykzone on Facebook Chat. Poured very clear gold color with an off white head and good lacing. Attractive beer. The nose is citrus and tropical fruit. Medium plus body, and a super clean smooth mouth feel. Flavor is big on the fruit and there is s lovely bitter finish. Very easy drinking and refreshing.

Rosie’s Pizza at Penn Station: pours golden with a white head. Aroma is lightly fruity and a tad lagerish. Taste is kind of sweet and not very bitter. Easy to drink. I think my bottles were a bit olde.

12 oz bottle into tall chilled glass. Another fine offering from one of my favorite local brewers. Metro lager combines bold hoppiness with citrus flavor to deliver a highly drinkable lager beer. I prefer ambers and pale ales to IPAs, and Metro provides enough grapefruit bitterness to offset the fruitiness of the hops and malt. Nice balance, good quality control for a large production craft beer.

Bottle BORN ON 07/20/15. Nose paper and fruit of Mosaic, pours clear but brilliant bright golden with orange highlights and a very large, sudsy beige head. Taste moderately dry and medium-strong bitter, some paper and spice at the base, touch oily, soft, main fruit receded somewhat to allow sunny citrus to dominate. Lightly herbal/floral, not juicy but utilizing tamed alcohol well. Cleansed palate from the soaplikes but it’s disarmingly gradual. Seeing lace and legs on the glass with volume. Crisp and somewhat refreshing, though the ale-like heaviness brings that back to earth. Excellent blending of the hops, each is given a chance to really shine, and there are treasured moments where the two are better together. [2016.02.25: 3.8]

[2/2/16] Bottle at Yonatan’s place in Oakland. Clear golden. Lovely hoppy aroma, tropical fruity, "green", a bit weedy. Dry flavor with bitterish fruity hops. Light to medium-bodied. Very nice and refreshing.

Dark gold. My nose registers pineapple and grapefruit rinds -- not the way I want my beer to smell. Overwhelmingly fruity taste that turns me off. For me, a dud.
