light copper color w/ a small tan head thin lacing. Smell is pretty lazy a bit musty raisens carmel, canned plum liked the components but not the sum. Palate is fairly average some ok coating. Flavor is a very dry grassy/piney hop w/ some artificial carmel flavors dark fruits w/ some alcoholic notes showing through in the finish. I wasnít a fan.

A nice one for the price, but not too tasty in the summer. Pours a hazy amber with hues or maroon. Smells of muscat grapes, raisins, and figs. A very mellow barleywine flavor with a thick mouthfeel that clings to your tongue. Great for the price.

Bottle a gift from Odeed! Thanks Jacob! Nose of caramel and dark fruit, mixed with some malt; transparent rust color, with a ring of beige bubbles around on side of the glass; flavor shows the caramelmalt and fruit, but also a lot of hops. It fades into a nice hoppy bitter finish with a little alcohol burn.

Bottle from Tever, thanks Tom. Pours an amber color with only a fine ring of bubbles. This is a caramel and fruity Barley Wine. Sweet and syrupy with a nice bitterness left on the tongue from the hops. A nice brew as it is pretty thick and tasty on the tongue.

This barley Wine pours an orange gold color from a 12oz bottle. Medium sized white foamy head. Aroma is caramel, fruity and sweet. A medium bodied barley wine. Malts are caramel, fruity and sweet. Hops are floral and piney. Touch of apples and pears. Nice carbonation. Touch of alcohol bite. Kind of sweet, the tropical fruit flavors are not quite balanced by the citrusy hops. Nice barleywine, kind of unassuming. Etched beer bottle. Mouthfeel is full. Finish is clean and smooth. Aftertaste is slightly sweet with some alcohol bite.

Dark amber colour...well...maybe a bit too brown to be considered amber. There was a small white head on top. The aroma was pretty one demensional, but still inviting, wet and sweet with hints of hops. Mostly sweet flavour, sticky on the mouth. The flavour is still pretty one dimensional, but again is good tasting. This is pretty solid but not filled with much enthusiasim.

Nice aroma, sweet, and pretty hoppy. Amber pour. Nice flavor, caramel, hops, licorice. Pretty full boddy. I liked the beer pretty well, but it was my third of the night, so taste buds were starting to disappear. PRetty nice stuff though.

Bottle thanks the tever: Slightly hazy, red/brown pour. Very thin white head. Aroma, musty, sweetness some caramel. Flavor, not much to speak of, some sweet malts. Itís kinda flat and thin. Really not much to say.

I was disappointed in this one. I expected it to be pretty hoppy given where it was brewed, but they went overboard. I almost forgot that I was drinking a b-wine a couple times during this session. It was thin, boring, and the hoppy punch overshawdowed the malts or fruitiness that you would find readily available in say.....a Foghorn. I can say though that this thing carried the 10.2% very well. Iíll pass...

Man, Iíve been looking forward to trying this one, I like Speakeasy and this is pretty elusive. Big thanks to Blankboy for sharing (sampled with him and Hogtown Harry). Golden copper, neat copper like slick head. Boozy, malt aroma. Sweet boozy taste - thin mouthfeel. Hops kick in nicely at the end. Lots of burnt sugar. Man, this is potent stuff, I taste every bit of the 10% alcohol. Simple, and a little thin, but enjoyable.
