3.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Copper in colour with a super thin tan head. Strong hoppy aroma paired with a sense of rye and some balanced malt. Medium to Light-Bodied; Very minimal amount of taste, I was expecting a lot more. Definate hoppiness with that same rye character showing through. Balanced well with malt, the aftertaste barely shows any bitterness. Somewhat dry finish, but nothing overwhelming. Overall, I was actually disapointed with this, as I prefered the Big Daddy IPA to this one. I owe a big thank you to Jah_noth for this twelve ounce bottle in a local trade. Cheers Dan!

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
The aroma is sweet and malty with strong notes of yeast. The color is amber and it has a fine but disappearing head. The flavor is sweet and malty with light yeast notes. All in all the flavor is boring. An average ale - nothing special.

Nice lacing around perimeter of glass. Great hop/malt balance. Floral flavors very prominient from beginning to end. Very enjoyable. I have been generally impressed with Speakeasy's brews.

2.4 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
Bottled. Reddish amber. Citrusy aroma with a touch of green vegetables. Clean hard mouthfeel, quite bitter. Too poor malt structure.

4.3 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 17/20
On tap: Copper hue with nice off-white head and excellent lace. Big piney aroma with minor hints of buttered toast, orange zest and twangy yeast. Taste intially was very potent piney hops but a nice dose of caramel malts added a pleasent balance. Dry, bitter, and slightly astringent finish. The mouthfeel is smooth yet not boring. Damn, this is a Speakeasy brew I was hoping for. Highly recommended.

4.2 AROMA 10/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Man, the hop aroma hits you the moment you pop open the bottle! Poured with a light beige head that dissipated into a thin layer after a few minutes; some lacing. Nice clear deep gold-amber color. Spicy-citrusy hop aroma dominates with malt and caramel underneath. Bold hop flavor start to finish; malt sweetness appears soon after the start and dries out towards the finish. Slightly rough hop bitterness and vegetal character linger in the aftertaste. Medium bodied with creaminess from the gentle carbonation. At cooler temps the hop character is quite assertive and tends to dominate the malt character. Drink at 55F for a nicer balance.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Orangey-copper coloured. Light head and strong lacing. Strong lasting hop aroma. Hoppy flavour with a light malt backing. Balanced but tilted in favour of the hops. Light citrus note. Long hop finish.

Pleasant citrus hop aroma. Pours amber brown, foamy white head. An interesting hop character and well balanced. Bitterness lingers in the finish. An enjoyable beer.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
I really enjoyed this one. Hopefully the rest are this good. Pretty color, good head. Wonderfully balanced- in fact, I would say this would be a textbook case of "balance" between hop and malt.
