COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Prohibition Ale is a boldly hopped amber ale that strikes a perfect balance between caramel maltiness and its aggressive hopping.

A finger and half of head on a clear, copper colored body. The aroma is a malty smell quickly followed by a lemon candy scent. The taste starts off with moderate sweetness, backed up by a lemon bitterness. A crisp texture with moderate carbonation and medium body. Enjoyable.

Thanks to iNBe. Almost red rather than amber in color. Fresh hops with a mellow malt to balance. Really quite a good all around beer. Serving: Bottle

Bottle at home. Pours clear tawny with a large, frothy beige head, long retention with good lacing. Aroma is toast and nutty malt, dates, apple esters, herbal and earthy hops. Flavor is sweet malt, medium earthy hops and bitterness, apple esters and a dry finish. Medium body and carbonation.

At a tasting, thanks zvikar, small stable bubbly head, aroma of fruit and jam with some malt in the back, dark biscuit flavour with with some jam and a hint of smoke and a quite strong herbal bitterness, a bit too sweet and heavy. Fair.

Bottle pour. Dark amber with tan head. Caramel and resin aroma. Thick creamy palate. Great taste with caramel, cereal, resin, and a light chocolate aftertaste.

Poured from a tap. Healthy two finger brown head, nice rich brown color. Great, and I mean Great, aroma. Delicious caramel notes, terrific malt flavor. Just the right ABV, in my opinion. It’s described as an amber ale, but it feels more like a stout.

Slim 30 keg pour at Evernote. Aroma is caramel, burnt sugar, malts, pine tar. Taste is caramel malts, chicory, and hoppy. Some alcohol burn and bitterness on the finish. A little too up and down between malts and hops for me.

Poured from a bottle into a pint glass purchased in Denver, CO. A nice hoppy Amber. I tend to prefer the honey sweet ambers over the hoppy ones but this ain't bad. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone
