Prohibition Ale is a boldly hopped amber ale that strikes a perfect balance between caramel maltiness and its aggressive hopping.

Courtesy of Hollingshead Deli in Orange, CA. This beer was certainly a pleasant surprise. Usually these gimmicky-type bottles house awful beers. Pours a thorough amber color with a medium thin and quickly dissipating light beige head. Very thin lacing. Assertive floral hops aroma. Excellent balance of hops and malt in the flavor. Nice, clean finish is bitter and a little spicy. Very good.

On cask at Rattle íNí Hum. Decent choice for cask as bitter and malts makes it a drinker.

Bottle shared at a tasting at Arielís place. Nice clear red color with amber hues and a small off-white head. Aroma of piney hops with floral notes, fruity hints and some caramelly malt. Sweetish malty flavor with caramel and a moderately bitter finish with some hops. Medium-bodied.

Good beer. The aroma is lightly malty and heavily floral. This clear amber ale has a medium sized, creamy head. Excellent lacing. Mostly diminishing. The flavor is very malty up front and fairly bitter on the backside. Fizzy. Medium bodied. Watery mouthfeel. Medium length, slightly bitter and a very very dry, crisp finish.

Bottle - Pine notes and a caramel backbone. Clear amber with a bubbly brown head. Lots of toffee with a resinous hoppy bitterness. Finish is very dry and bitter. The finish is what prevents this beer from being awesome.

Bottle @ home, picked up at Wilburís Fort Collins. Pours a dark reddish brown appearance with a light brown head. Caramel, bitter herbal hoppy, slightly aged aroma. A touch fruity, roasty caramel malty, nutty, earthy, light paper, light minty flavor. Tastes a little old, unfortunately.
