COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Prohibition Ale is a boldly hopped amber ale that strikes a perfect balance between caramel maltiness and its aggressive hopping.

Bottled. Red-amber pour with a thick light-tan head. The aroma is very hoppy with notes of caramel. The taste is pretty smooth. Initially pretty hoppy, medium body with a sharp malty finish. Overall a strong tasting beer, hoppy and malty.

I like this beer better than the speakeasy IPA. It has a bit more balance and character too it. It’s still very hoppy, but has a little bit more sweetness and nutty flavor to balance the dry hops. Not bad.

Decent amber ale, moderate body. Malty finish. Hops present arent as aggressive as I thought they’d be. Drinkable.

Sweet malty aroma, dark copper red, surprising for apple ale. Tastes maltose than a typical pale with nice bitter hop finish. Solid, not awesome. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

UPDATED: MAY 19, 2005 Bottle. Great fresh hop aroma. Taste is more true to an amber than the label of "aggressive hopping" might suggest. Lots of toasted malt to go along with the hops and a very sweet finish, almost sugary. Tea and orange flavors.

US trip Aug/Sept 2009 - Bottle - some caramel and hints of corn, maybe DMS. uninspiring and slightly astringent but looks really good in the glass

Pretty nice, malty goodness. $6.99/6 pack at Market of Choice in OR. I’d do it again.

I was moderately dissapointed in this beer. It had a nice sweet taste but wasn’t very full. The aftertaste wasn’t very good and the taste did not linger. Not a bad beer but was expecting more.
