Iím not a fan of filtered/non bottle conditioned beers. They arenít lying about the hops in here. Ok amber. I accidentally bought this instead of their APA. Whoops...

4.1 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20
Pours a hazy bubbly brown. Medium coffee-stain head. Very nice shelved lacing. Aroma is fruity citrus and nice hops. Similar flavour with a blend of balanced sweetness. Med-full bodied, lightly carbonated feel. Long lasting bitter finish. A good ale.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 14/20
A very good amber ale, which is a style I donít usually like. The aroma is a harmonious mix of malt and hops, as is the soft, yet forceful flavor. The hopes hit your tongue initially, they taste flowery and subdued as opposed to the lively hops in many American pale ales. This is followed by a nice malty aftertaste, consisting of a nice sweet bread flavor with some brown sugar undertones. The palate is firm and fresh, not too syrupy, which is something I often fear with amber ales.
This is a very good beer and I would highly recommend it.

Slim 30 keg pour at Evernote. Aroma is caramel, burnt sugar, malts, pine tar. Taste is caramel malts, chicory, and hoppy. Some alcohol burn and bitterness on the finish. A little too up and down between malts and hops for me.
