3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 12/20
Pours a true amber color with a very sparse head that fades quickly. Very fast moving carbonation (bubbly looking). At first the smell of caramel takes over the grapefruit hops, biscuit, light raisin and barely present spiciness. Very crisp and smooth tasting with a clean pine, fig, grapefruit and deep caramel play off one another to create a fairly complex dance in a sea of medium carbonation. Feels medium bodied full of flavors that don’t overwhelm rather lend complexity to each other to enhance the mouthfeel of this really good beer. This is a must try. You may like it, you may not. You should pick this one up and give it a shot! Damn Tasty!

Big, huge head fairly quickly fades down to a nice half-inch froth atop a copper brew. Smells extremly hoppy with typical fruity pineapple scent of american pales though the bottle proclaims it to be a amber that is "boldly hopped." Lots of hop sweetness upfront that fades into hoppy bitterness. Bit of coffee flavor in there as well. Gental maltyness teases you in the background. Tastes more like an American IPA to me, but it is very good.

4.2 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 18/20
Amber ale, meet IPA. That’s all I can think of with this one, a somewhat malty, caramel flavor buttressed at the front and back by citrusey hoppiness. At first I thought, "Uh oh, here comes another IPA." But I was only partially correct, as the amber ale characteristics improved this beer, putting it in a class by itself.

Cor cobre escuro e avermelhado.

Pours with thick head that settles to nice lacing. Hazy amber color. Smells hoppy but taste isn’t overly hoppy. It starts bitter but smooths out during the finish. Very drinkable but nothing outstanding here.

12oz bottle. pours out deep reddish brown, with almost no head. sharp spicy lemon hops. slighty sweet at first then abruptly goes to weird hoppy redwood board taste...which is KINDA interesting oddly.
it makes me want to build a deck in Northern California....

On tap at Nike Wunderbar, pours a nice clear amber, beautiful grapefruit and citrus aroma hits your nose. Solid malt backbone, balanced nicely. Hoppier than I expected, but overall great ale.
