Delirium (433), Santa Cruz, California, USA Mar 29, 2008 Draught. Pours slightly hazy dark amber with a moderate off-white head. Aroma is a nice mixture of caramel malt and citrus hops. Flavor is likewise. Sticky mouthfeel. Not a whole lot to describe, but it’s a tasty and well-done hopped-up amber.
Drink4Satan (478), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA Oct 3, 2008 Pours a slightly hazy pale amber with a sturdy off-white head. The nose is full of peppery spice, mildly roasted malt, caramel and citric zest. The flavour initially is charaterized by citric hops and Munich malts, mild cocoa and earth. The palate is nearly perfect, medium bodied, nicely carbonated, a little watery, and a drying in the finish. It is well-hopped as the zest shines through. Very nice session brew. emerica56 (481), Bristol, Rhode Island, USA Oct 3, 2008 Pours a thin white head with a cloudy orange amber color. The nose is nice and floral with hints of pine and caramel. The flavor initially is nice and bitter and hits your palate really hard. but after you finish the sip the flavor dies rather quick and the finish is somewhat watery. Overall it is a good brew and has a nice bitterness that sticks for a while but the full flavor dies after you sip it. tzakiel (34), USA Sep 11, 2008 A near perfect beer. What struck me most about this brew was the striking balance of malt and bitter flavors. It’s almost bitter and then comes back extra smooth and malty. The balanced flavor and excellent smoothness make this one of my very favorite beers. I will buy again and again. JohnCoyne (65), USA Aug 13, 2008 On tap @ Jackson 20, Hotel Monaco. Pours a solid amber color with a decent white head that left nice lacing. Smells of hops with a nut undertone. Tastes of hops followed by nut and a tasty bitter note.
Wonderful. Acknud (608), Morganfield, Kentucky, USA Aug 11, 2008 Not bad for an amber. A little thin on the tongue. Amber pour as expected. Fairly well hopped but not excessive.
