COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Prohibition Ale is a boldly hopped amber ale that strikes a perfect balance between caramel maltiness and its aggressive hopping.

I was moderately dissapointed in this beer. It had a nice sweet taste but wasn’t very full. The aftertaste wasn’t very good and the taste did not linger. Not a bad beer but was expecting more.

Draft at Eulogy. Kicking the keg from a Speakeasy Philly Beer Week event. Mostly clear medium-dark brown pour with a soft foamy off-white head. Some nice lace. Bigger and darker caramel malts than expected for an Amber Ale. Reads more like a Brown Ale with a touch more hops (does not feel overly hoppy to me.) Best others of the style but not as good as the darker Speakeasy brews. Nice dry finish.

Restrained aroma in a deep brown pour. Full bodied taste tends to the hoppy side with a crisp clean bitter finish.

Draught at the Speakeasy, San Francisco, CA.
Clear amber colour with a small to mid-size light tan head. Sweet caramel malt, mild nuts and mild hops in the aroma. Sweet caramel malt, mild hops and mild bitterness in the flavour. Clean and nice amber ale.

Great aroma of floral hops. Taste is very well balanced. Malty but the hops come through. Very enjoyable beer.

Pours a hazy bubbly amber with a small diminishing fizzy white head. Nicely balanced aroma and flavour of mild hops and caramel malt. Quite carbonated and the body’s a tad thin.

Pint at dinosaur bbq Harlem, NY. Red colot slightly hazed short white head quickly dissipating. Dusty roasted malts with woody tones and hints of caramel with heavy bittering hops. Taste is quitw bitter dusty dry finish average carbonation. Overall the feel is very raw crude, homemade. I guess they intended that way, undefined and wild.

Tijdens het eten (dus al even geleden). Iets zoeter dan ik zin in had, verder prima.

A good well balanced amber. Loads of caramel and toffee malts to balance the crisp, heavy citrus hops. Lightly grassy and floral with tons of zesty grapefruit and piney notes. Nice smooth malty flavour profile with a moderate bitterness on the end. Lingering but succinct hop bitterness.

Pours light brown some frothy head and lacing. Nose is fruity like peach. Flavours are stine fruit, cereal, some grapefruit. Taste light bitter light sweet. Med body lively carbonation.
