Had from 12 oz. bottle from Total Wine and More. Pours standard amber color of an amber ale, good tan/off-white head, nice carbonation and lacing. Aroma is pretty standard amber with tons of malts, bread, caramel, and faint addition of hops. Taste is well balanced, perhaps just a bit too many malts for my liking. Would have liked just a little more hop bitterness to even it out. Flavor is mostly sweet, malty, hints of some caramel, but just not enough hops for me. A good amber ale though. Very representative of the style. Nothing extreme or out of the ordinary.

Pours a brilliant clear amber, huge fluffy head that recedes to leave a high island of foam, not to mention some nice lacing. The aroma is potent citrusy hops, light pine, and a bit of caramel. Light bodied, medium carbo, very clean and crisp, slight malty sweetness, finishes abruptly and short, but very cleanly, with just a faint hop bitterness lingering. Beauty in simplicity. Clean hop and malt flavor, in perfect balance. Not very complex, but does what it needs to do.

Pours amber with a small amount of head. At first I taste the bitterness and citrus of the hops which is followed by a very strong malt flavor and finishes again with the hops and citrus.

Bottle. Clear amber pour. Aroma of pleasant pine, and some sweet sugary malts. Taste is sweet malts, caramel, and bitter hops. Medium body and lower carbonation.

This one falls squarely into the nice style of hoppy amber, which I’m always thankful to find. Lots of grapefruit hops in the aroma kept even by a nice dose of rich caramel malts. Fruity flavor, that’s shows off a nice hop profile and a clean sweet malt bill. Speakeasy seems to get overlooked sometimes, but most the beers I’ve had from them I’ve quite enjoyed. Good stuff.

christmas gift brew #2 from wife. pours murky brown with small head. tastes of toffee, hops bitterness, earth, fruity. medium bodied and slightly sweet finish.

Tap. Amber with foamy head and nice lacing. Nice light piney hop aroma. Nice light hoppy flavor.

Amber color with a toffee aroma. Taste is of malts, brown sugar and coffee. Pretty tasty.

355mL bottle poured an amber color with ample beige head which left some nice lacing. Aroma of roasted malts and caramel. Taste is nicely balanced between the sweet malts and the bitter hops. A very good amber ale.
