2.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
The first thing that strikes me about this beer is it’s lovely copper red color but it unfortunately goes down a bit from there. The nose has a nice floral hop presence but nothing too vibrant or striking. This is a bit on the sweet side and well balanced but the finish is a bit metallic which really diminishes the overall experience. The texture is nice and creamy and not too thick as not to be drinkable but because of that harsh bitterness it is hard to enjoy fully.

Bottle at home. Poured a light copper Brown colour with a slight tanned head. Nose has caramel, toffee, almonds and nuts, malts, and earthy. Not my kind of beer

Pours a beautiful amber color with a dark, creamy head. A bold malty biscuit nose that opens with a smooth malty taste with a hearty aftertaste. Great brew!

On tap at Kalahana. Clear copper with some red highlights. Big pine and danky resin aromas on the nose. Taste is more balanced with some caramel sweetness coming through but the leans toward the hoppy side. Very well done amber. Nice bitter finish that lingers. Really solid.

Draft at Eulogy. Kicking the keg from a Speakeasy Philly Beer Week event. Mostly clear medium-dark brown pour with a soft foamy off-white head. Some nice lace. Bigger and darker caramel malts than expected for an Amber Ale. Reads more like a Brown Ale with a touch more hops (does not feel overly hoppy to me.) Best others of the style but not as good as the darker Speakeasy brews. Nice dry finish.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Pours a hazy bubbly amber with a small diminishing fizzy white head. Nicely balanced aroma and flavour of mild hops and caramel malt. Quite carbonated and the body’s a tad thin.

Pint at dinosaur bbq Harlem, NY.
Red colot slightly hazed short white head quickly dissipating. Dusty roasted malts with woody tones and hints of caramel with heavy bittering hops. Taste is quitw bitter dusty dry finish average carbonation. Overall the feel is very raw crude, homemade. I guess they intended that way, undefined and wild.
