Aroma is milk chocolate and rye bread crusts. Flavor is creamy brown malts and chocolate with a light rye spiciness. Excellent balance, just enough sweetness. Aroma is malt forward with substantial caramel, medium roast and very slight sourness. Appearance is clear reddish copper with a medium maintained off-white head and foam lacing. Flavor is sweet, almost candilike malt forward with a great blend of roast and noble hop spiciness to balance. Mouthfeel is medium bodied with a touch of creaminess and medium carb texture that blends with a light graininess and warmth. Overall, a suprisingly full bodied and and flavored rye beer with a punch that sets it apart in almost every regard. fidel (1021), Livermore, California, USA
