Bomber from Beverages 4 Less in Santee, CA. Pours really dark with a 3 finger creamy dark tan head. Aroma is chocolate with underlying vanilla. Med+ body. Flavor is bourbon/vanilla, nasty burnt malt, coffee and chocolate. It burns - whether from burnt malt or hop? Delicious. Finishes dry and bitter. No noticeable heat.

A: An incredibly nice looking pour on this beer, plenty of tan foam with a viscous black liquid underneath.
S: The nose is full of the usual suspects for an imperial stout. Coffee, bitter chocolate, and roasted malt with a slight smokiness to it.
T: The flavor pretty much mimics the nose. A nice coffee and roasted malt character with some notes of chocolate with a definite bitterness and some light smoke.
M: Quite a full bodied beer with a low level of carbonation and a creamy feel on the tongue.
D: For a fairly high ABV and a rather bold style, this one is fairly easy to consume and was a pretty interesting beer overall. A pretty solid offering from Speakeasy.

A deep dark stout with a thin brown head. In aroma, a sweet chocolate with smooth floral hops, piney and pungent. In mouth, a nice chocolate malt with smooth licorice, piney hops, alcohol warmth, very nice.

Bomber poured a clear dark reddish brown with a lasting brown head. Aromas of dried fruit, roastiness, dark chocolate and carmel. Palate was medium bodied and smooth. Flavors of dark chocolate, earthiness, roastiness and light dried fruit with a smooth lingering roasty chocolate finish.

Tap at Naja’s. Pours opaque with a small, fizzy tan head, short retention with light lacing. Aroma is dark chocolate, coffee and roast malt, plums and dates with light smoke notes and earthy hops. Flavor is malt dominant with velvety chocolate, coffee, lightly bitter malt, dark fruity esters and a sweet finish. Full body, medium warmth and carbonation.

Draught, free sample at New Beer Distributors, NYC. Black beer with a nice lasting beige head. Chocolate aroma, roasted, licorice, viol, cocoa powder, some figs. Chocolate flavor, spicy, some chilli, pepper, salt, cocoa, tar, peat notes, rather roasted, plums and figs, licorice, dark bread. Spicy roasted finish, peat, hay, chocolate and tar.
