3.4 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
Foamy light tan head. Gorgeous ruby colored body. Crystal clear. Hoppy aroma. Not overly piney. Flavors of black pepper, slightly peachy. Hop character in the after taste. Normal body mouthfeel. Nice. Would like to try on draft to see if there’s any difference.

A: Brownish Hue, Passes Mild Light, Off White Head, Great Lacing
S: Rye, German Malts, Mild Caramel
T: Rye, Mild Grainy Malts, Mild Caramel
M: Great Carbonation, Medium Bodied, Mildly Grainy
Overall, although the appearance came out very strong, the beer started to fall off from there with a decent nose but the taste didnt equal it unfortunately.

Bottled. Very dark red color with a thick tan head. The aroma is mostly hop with a little rye. The taste itself is medium bodied, strong rye with a hoppy finish.

3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 15/20
UPDATED: NOV 4, 2013 Bottle. Pours clear dark red with coarse off-white head, no lace. Aroma is sweet, grain, mildly roasted malt. Flavor is sweet, mildly roasted malt, moderate nuttiness, not your typical rye beer. Moderate carbonation, light body, and mildly watery texture. A toasty rye ale.

I'm a rye fan. In fact the deScription is my style. But this just didn't deliver. Had 2 last night 1 tonight. Some sips I swear I detected a feint wet dog. Some average hops. Fell flat for me. No spice. Kind of thick and weak.

3.2 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bottle:   Deep amber, some dark copper hues, large frothy biege head, nice lacing.   Malty nose, slightly bready, a bit of Rye.   Similar tongue, a little earthy but not much.   Not all that bitter either.
Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Bready, slightly earthy finish.   Needs to be sweeter.

Pours a light amber and has a faint, malty aroma. Has some citrusy bitterness to it with a sweeter finish. Overall pretty bland and uninteresting.
