Bottle. Pours a clear, brownish red with a foamy amber head; lasting on the sides. Aroma of spice, pine, rye and some caramel. Flavor is sweet citrus, pine, spice, light caramel and rye. Medium bodied, bitter finish.

Bottle - dark ruby - thick but short-lived head - unlike most rye beers, which are more like red ipas with some rye, this is really more a showcase for rye malt - creamy texture - spicy and earthy rye nose, reminiscent of rye whiskey - flavor is toasty and spicy rye, earth, caramel - finish has some peppery hops, but again, the rye is the star and is showcased well - tasty.

Foamy light tan head. Gorgeous ruby colored body. Crystal clear. Hoppy aroma. Not overly piney. Flavors of black pepper, slightly peachy. Hop character in the after taste. Normal body mouthfeel. Nice. Would like to try on draft to see if there’s any difference.

M: Great Carbonation, Medium Bodied, Mildly Grainy
Overall, although the appearance came out very strong, the beer started to fall off from there with a decent nose but the taste didnt equal it unfortunately.

Bottled. Very dark red color with a thick tan head. The aroma is mostly hop with a little rye. The taste itself is medium bodied, strong rye with a hoppy finish.

UPDATED: NOV 4, 2013 Bottle. Pours clear dark red with coarse off-white head, no lace. Aroma is sweet, grain, mildly roasted malt. Flavor is sweet, mildly roasted malt, moderate nuttiness, not your typical rye beer. Moderate carbonation, light body, and mildly watery texture. A toasty rye ale.
