Draft at Beer Run. Pours a clear golden color with a off-white head. Good head retention. Aroma of spicy, herbal hops and faint malts. The taste is spicy hops, pale malts, tart apple. Medium bodied, refreshing.

Botled 03/08/13. Seems like they might have been slow to roll this out in chi. Its a clear golden amber pour with a nice head. Dry hops subdued at this point. IT has a sharp toffee scent, bread, and still retains a bit of the tropical hops. The flavor is decent. Almost light lager-like with a good bready malt base and a hint of toastiness. Medium to low bitterness, lemony hop flavor. Very light and easy-drinking. I like it as a summer beer but it’s a bit old.

Bottle. Pours a pale gold. No real head. Thin, piney, a bit of bitter grassy hops develops slowly on the tongue. Kind of tastes like pool water at first.

marcus (6300) - Sacramento, California, USA - MAY 20, 2013
Bottle from Total Wine, Sacramento. Pours clear copper with a clinging off-white head and a fruity aroma. There is a medium-bodied pale malt flavor with a seriously bitter finish. Very drinkable.

It’s back, and in bottles. This one from Corti Brothers. Pours dark gold with a foamy white head. Aroma is interestingly spicy. And citrusy. Med body til the foam leaves. Flavor is very light caramel with some spice and citrus. I could believe there’s a trace of rye in it. Quite tasty for the ABV.

This is a pretty standard issue pale ale (not that that’s a bad thing) with floral hops and a fairly strong mineral presence in the nose. There is a good balance of sweetness and bitterness but the bitterness in the finish is too strongly of the grassy/earthy variety for my tastes. This drinks pretty good but is just very average in general w/ the hops being a bit too muted for the style.

Taste like a marzen ipa to me. Not sure way to thing about it. The beer is light in color but it has a slight marzen taste to me. Almost slight black liqourish ( wrong spelling). Different ipa. Not my taste but I imagine there might be a lot if fans that would like this. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Pours transparent golden orange with a small white head. The nose is light citrus in the form of oranges and grapefruit, some bready pastry notes and caramel. The taste is low sweet and medium bitter. Texture is crisp and clean with a light body and a long finish.

Clear golden pour with a big white head. Nose is kind of bland. Bready malt, sweet citrus hop notes, and floral aromas. Kind of watery, too. The flavor is not all that impressive either. Bread, some toast, and maybe a little bit of citrus. Floral hops, light pine, and a touch of bitterness on the finish.

RedSox2004 (1200) - Pacific Palisades, California, USA - APR 29, 2013
On tap at The Daily Pint. Clear golden yellow with a fluffy bright white head, nice retention and excellent lace. Bright lemon and grass aromas in front of a toasted malt background. Grassy hops and biscuity malts are prominent in the flavor profile, with assertive lemon throughout. Light to medium body, creamy mouthfeel, generously carbonated and a crisp clean finish. Very refreshing.
