COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Untouchable does justice to the American Pale Ale, enforcing a strict balance of arresting hop flavor and a smooth maltiness that's just undercover.

12 oz bottle. Very pale straw colour. Thin white head. Aroma is of sweet caramel malt, soft cookie dough sweetness and a nice light citrus/grapefruit hoppiness. Malts remind me of Flying Dog, but the hops are substantially brighter. Grapefruit and doughy malt flavour. Good balance. It’s on the sweet malty side of the APA category, but it’s quite nice nonetheless.

Medium amber hue, small head. Nice rich sweet hop aroma of grapes and grapefruit. Flavor is more like a pale ale while the aroma is a fantastic hop carnival like a top-notch IPA. Stale hop taste towards the end and a typical subdued finish could not back up the aroma.

Pours deep yellow with medium head. Aromas of hops and citrus. TAstes slightly dry, hoppy, citrusy, and malty. A good APA.

Hazy golden color, off-white head. Mild hoppy and caramel scent. Caramel and dusty taste. Medium mouthfeel, medium bitterness.

The last bottle I brought back from Hollingshead Deli in Orange, CA! It only took me nearly 3 months to get through all of them. I liked the Prohibition Ale significantly more than this. This seemed like a weaker version of it. Pours a dark gold/amber color with a medium light beige head. Thin lacing and kind of bubbly. There is a pleasantly floral hops aroma. Flavor is somewhat hoppy with a mild malt presence. Body is not very rich and the finish is a little thin. Still, it was very easy to drink.

Dark golden body with a creamy fingers worth of head. Resiny hoppy aroma os forthright and well rounded. Flavour is hop dominant with lots of chewy pine resin, malty undertones, and notes of wispy caramel. Medium palate (3+). Not mindblowing but well balanced and very drinkable. Nice beer. Thanks Harry or Paul(?) Probably underrated.

Bottle sampled in November 2006: Pours a clear light golden with a thin, wispy white head. Lightly pale malty sweet aroma has a mild piny hoppy balance. Body starts lightly sweet and grainy with a drier, thin bittersweet finish. A fairly bland pale ale.

Bottle. Amber color beer with a thin white head that disapates quickly. The aroma is of caramel, citrus, and spice and is superb. Flavor is a little sharp and has a citrus/grass hop flavor with a little malt showing through. The finish is dry and as a whole, the beer is very easy to drink.

On cask at Rattle N Hum at the Cigar City event. Pours a hazy orange amber with a thin white head. Citrus hops, vanilla, soft wood. Smooth and malty, light sweetness. Long grapefruit finish.

DuffMan (6548) - the land of bitumen, beef & beer, Alberta, CANADA - JUN 10, 2008
Hazy golden yellow. Less fruity, more grassy than the amber, a touch vegetal. Less sweet and more bitter than the amber. Nice, but the amber outshone this by far.
