ultraspank (856), Dublin, Ohio, USA Feb 23, 2008 I’ve been wanting to try beers from Speakeasy for years. Luckily I recently had a very "spatial" visitor who was willing to lug 50 lbs of the stuff with her. Nose of heavy citrus, pine, perfume, and spicy resin rounding it out. The brew pours a clear golden. The fully lasting sticky tight creamy white head leaves good lace. The brew has a fairly balanced start with a high level of acidity in the middle followed by a sharp bitter finish. The medium body is dry and lively, the finish feels very dry. Excellent, definitely worth the waith. "Spatial" thanks goes out to my baby Amanda!!
beerbuzzmontreal (2747), Montreal, Quebec, Canada Oct 6, 2008 Cloudy golden pour with a thin white head. Aroma of citrusy hops. Flavor of citrusy hops with a bitter finish. The body is light with a creamy texture and moderate carbonation. Mostly unexciting. GuilTTy (459), Cherry Hill, New Jersey, USA Oct 4, 2008 Another Foodery find in Philly. Mildly hazy light copper pour under a thin dirty white head. Just a touch of lacing. Aroma of mild citrus but you really have to search for it. Classic West Coast pale ale flavor profile of citrus, light caramel, toffee and crisp hops. Clean and dry finish. Sleeper (65), Washington, USA Aug 14, 2008 Pours with one finger head which settles nicely. Smells malty with little hops. Tastes malty with just a little hop kick. I’m suprised it’s not hoppier... Almost a tea taste to it. Body is slightly heavy. SuzyGreenberg (1028), Seattle, Washington, USA Jul 30, 2008 12 oz. bottle - pours clear gold with foamy white head; sweet citrus hop aromas; drinks on the rich side with lots of hops; decent body; soft texture and sweet malts mixed well with the hops; a very nice hopped pale ale trokini (875), San Diego, California, USA Jul 30, 2008 Pours clear amber with an average white head. Good malt/hop aroma. Flavor was a nice citrus hop versus the caramel malt balance. A decent APA, it just doesn’t do anything to stand out from the crowd.
