3.9 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 5/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 BBB63 (5411) - La Porte, Indiana, USA - MAY 22, 2013
Bomber is my GI IPA tulip: Pours a clean amber hue with a lovely frothy head and very good lace. The aroma has notes of dank, juicy, and even BBQ spice hop characteristics. Grassy, herbal, piney, resiny, and lemony as well with toffee and biscuity malt undertones. Fans of Citra hopped brew will really dig this, brash and brazen dank notes with hop spice and some malt profile as well. The mouthfeel is actually softer than expected which methinks could be a good thing. A darn nice IPA even if not something I would seek out since I am not a fanboi of overly dank beers nor the Citra hop.
3.9 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 StefanSD (1797) - Lakeside, California, USA - MAY 14, 2013
650 ml bottle from bev4less. Pours a translucent copper color with a large fluffy off-white head that has good retention. The aroma is pungent with fresh oranges, lemons, salt and some melon. The flavor, like the aroma, is citrusy goodness, lots of tropical citrus with an extra dose of bitter grapefruit. The malt base shows a touch of sweet caramel and perhaps some biscuit but its fairly neutral and unobtrusive. The palate is full and smooth with medium carbonation. Finishes short and dry with a bit of grapefruit. Overall: Delicious. Clearly a fresh bottle based on tasting, but I’m a bit disappointed that there is no dating on the bottle to confirm this. From now on I’m gonna remark on bottle dating in my reviews of all IPA/APA brews.
3.6 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20 Zombeer (53) - New Jersey, USA - MAY 12, 2013
This IPA has a nice flavor, not too extreme in any way. Any serious hop lover will find no fault here. But it is very typical, so i dont see myself running back for more anytime soon.
3.8 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 16/20 crossovert (4565) - Wisconsin, USA - MAY 10, 2013
New Release/different label. IT pours an orangey amber with a fluffy off-white head. My allergies are acting up a bit and the smell seems light. The flavor is full-on though. An awesome tongue-bruising west coaster. It has some light caramel and bread malt but is mostly candied citrus on the front end and a mean medium to high bitterness in the finish.
4.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 10/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 16/20 IPABevyGuy (16) - New York, USA - MAY 9, 2013
Golden amber color, with a white head. Smell of pine and malt, with a small hint of citrus. Pine starts up front but is quickly taken over by the caramel malt, finishes very clean with a citrus taste added behind the malt. Very well rounded IPA, highly recommended.
3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 dreadnord (997) - San Diego, California, USA - APR 24, 2013
Pours golden orange with a thin white head. The nose is big grapefruit, a little dank, pineapple and hints of smoke. The taste is medium sweet and high bitter. Classic west coast. The texture is crisp and clean. The body is medium and the finish is long.

22oz bomber. Pours a deep amber color with a small white head. Aroma of pine, wood, heavy toasted malt, caramel. Taste of strong crystal and caramel malts, pine, and some bitter white grapefruit.
3.8 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20 jgb9348 (3968) - Arlington (Pentagon City), Virginia, USA - JAN 13, 2013
Deep amber coloured body with a bright copper tint and a thick, three centimetre tall tan head - very deep in colour and much darker than most in the style. Aroma of caramel, fresh pineapple, resin, pine, citrus and a bunch of alcohol - very nice smelling. Medium-bodied; Assertive hop cone flavour at first of resin and pine with a lot of malt backbone and a good amount of caramelised sugars. Aftertaste is quite complex with earthy malt, nuts, caramel sweetness and obviously a bunch of hops (grapefruit and floral notes) show through the alcohol warmth. Overall, a nice and deeper IPA with a good hop note and tons of caramelised sugars and an almost herbal finish - on the toastier and nuttier side of the IPA coin - but great to try! I sampled this 65 cL bottle purchased from Whole Foods in Reston, Virginia on 29-October-2012 for US$5.99 sampled at home in Washington on 13-January-2013.

22oz bottle - just realized it is labeled by Total Wine from July 2012, so I’ll be a bit easy on this review. Poured a nice clear copper color with a small slightly off-white color, very good lacing on this one. Aroma is a bit heavy on the sweet grain malts, a bit like rye spice here. Some caramel malts, earthy hops, but not much in the way of citrus. Touch of bitterness here. Bummer as an IPA, but halfway decent as just any ol’ beer.
