Standing face to face, an enduring rivalry reaches the breaking point.

Vendetta IPA is the taste of sweet revenge. Aggressively bitter with a cutthroat convergence of citrus and aromatic hops, Vendetta wonít soon be forgotten.

As the next in our Bootlegger Limited Series, weíre releasing an IPA with a vengeance. Legit since 1997, Speakeasy Ales & Lagers operates in the San Francisco district once known as Butchertown.

I've always avoided hoppy beers. I gravitate towards more balanced ones. This is a hoppy beer nicely balanced with sweetness. No bitter aftertaste. Not the one and you're done death by hops beer. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draught from standings. Deep ambwe with sticky white head. Light citrus and soil smell. Malts, some grapefruit, phenols. Not that impressive.

Draft in San Fransisco June 2013. Pours a clear orange amber color with a medium sized off white head. The aroma and flavor have citrus, grapefruit, some resiny hops with caramel malts and mild to moderate bitterness. Decent enough.

Very pleased with this IPA. Amidst the endless selection of IPAís this one stands tall. A well brewed beer with solid malt base to support the bold hop presence. IPAís are a dime a dozen & are hard to tell apart; vendetta is a west coaster.

UPDATED: APR 20, 2014 22 oz Bomber. The beer pours to a slightly cloudy copper color with a small head. The aroma has strong citrus & grapefruit scents to it. The taste is light in body with a crisp bitter finish. Overall a very good IPA.

Dark orange with white head. Grapefruit and bubblegum aroma. Bitter. Taste is hoppy and bitter. Basement musty almost. Still pretty good but was expecting more . Poured from draft at Haymarket Brewey in Chicago.

Bottle:   Vibrant amber, on the orange side, moderate to large foamy cream colored head, nice lacing.   Soft citrus and pine on the nose.   Light tobacco.   Smooth on the tongue, very light bitterness, even softer citrus peel and tobacco.   Not a big IPA, but smooth.   Body and mouthfeel are moderate.   Very soft citrus bitterness that really isnít all that bitter.   A touch of tobacco lingers.   Had this one about 4 months, seems like a settled IPA.   Still smooth and tasty.

Enjoyed out of a bomber bottle. Poured a hazy copper orange. Great hops on the nose medium to heavy mouth feel. Not too much floral or bitter notes a mild hop flavor w a malty aftertaste. Not quiet what Iím looking for in an IPA but definitely enjoyable and worth drinking again.

Maybe I got a bad bottle but mine did not taste anything like all these ratings. Zero citrus, mild hops, had more of an amber ale biscuit mild malt thing going on.Nice lacing but that is about it. BOO!

~Mostly piney hop aroma with some citrus and floral hop balanced with biscuity malts. ~Pours a hazy orange with lasting fluffy white head. ~Strong piney hop flavor with citrus. Biscuity bread maltiness. ~Medium bodied, medium CO2, lingering piney bitterness. ~Enjoyable IPA. Compared to the many other California IPAs this one doesnt really stand out.
