Introducing the Hawaiian Style Pale Ale™ Aloha from Hawaii! As the name suggests, this bold, hoppy West Coast pale ale is brewed Hawaiian style—with pineapple. We stopped at nothing to create this perfectly "imbalanced" and supremely delicious pale ale. The Hawaiian Style Pale Ale is naturally carbonated, unfiltered and dry-hopped to provide a delicate carbonation and complex flavour and bouquet. Hints of caramel, honey and biscuit give way to notes of fresh citrus, zest and pine and a refreshingly tropical finish. Serving Suggestion The Hawaiian Style Pale Ale should be served cool (5-10°C) from a tulip style glass. Food Pairings Hawaiian Style Pale Ale’s citrusy, fresh character makes it a versatile beer for food pairings. Enjoy a glass with spicy Indian and South-East Asian dishes. Pair with hearty pub fare and allow its zesty hoppiness to refresh your palate. Indulge in rich, creamy cheeses, some decadent chocolate or a thick slice of cheesecake to bring out the beer’s caramel and tropical sweetness. On its own it is dry, refreshing and perfectly quenching. Ingredients •Malts: Pale Malt, Caramel 10, Caramel 45, Light Munich, Caramel Malt-Pils •Hops: Cascade, Centennial, Northern Brewer •Yeast: California Ale •Additional: pineapple juice •Water: pure water

33 cl bottle, Mulmur, ON, Canada. Hazy pale apricot colour, very carbonated on opening. Aroma of sweet honey with a citrus papaya spice. Bright flavour, resinous ginger hops and an underlying sweetness. Finish is long and bitter.

Keg at loose moose Toronto. Hazy straw colour. Looks good. Really fresh aroma with a lot of pineapple. Tastes the same - a bit sticky sweet with a really nice level of bitterness. Good. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Draft - Sweet and tropical fruit. Copper with a thin white head. Up front bitterness and pineapple with and a long bitter finish. Not sure what they were aiming for but I like it. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

In short: A very fruity golden IPA done right. Good beer.
How: Bottle 341ml, consumed fresh a few weeks after purchase.
The look: Clear rusty-gold body topped by a medium off-white head with low retention but leaving lots of lacings on the glass.
In long: Nose is mostly fruity hops (pineapples, various citrus fruits) and toasted grassy notes. The fruity component of the aroma really has a “glass of breakfast fruit juice” character. Taste is again very juicy, very fruity (pineapples, grapefruits, lemon) with also a herbal-grassy sensation. A solid malt backbone (biscuity with a bit of honey and caramel) but the fruity flavors are so dominant that it is a bit like drinking a bitter carbonated fruit juice with yellowed grass and dry herbs thrown in. Bitterness level is medium. I’m glad breweries make beers that have a pineapple flavor, because I refuse to eat a real pineapple, I’m too afraid it will reassemble itself in my belly, and then what I’m asking, AND THEN WHAT?!?!?

UPDATED: AUG 13, 2014 Hazy, light amber beer with thick, rich white head. Nice aroma of pineapple and other citrus fruits. Slight hoppy nose complements nicely the fruity aroma. Smooth and somewhat tart, which is to be expected. Bitter finish isn?t too heavy, but might have been nicer to have more fruity sweet taste.

Keg at BeerTown, Waterloo, Ontario, 29th April 2013. Very tasty, sweet pineapple tones up front, then the bitterness kicks in well, lovely IPA

Great clear and clean golden pour with nice white head. Aromas of citrus with a taste of blends of citrus and bitters. Great after taste. This is my new fave IPA.

Surprisingly dark and well carbonated IPA large, thick foam. Beautifully rounded flavor free of any artificial tastes. Great flavoured brew worthy of a case or two of indulgence.
