3.4 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Deep dark brown aroma with a thin white head. The aroma is fairly spicy with notes of clove, Demerara sugar a little bit of yeasty fruit and some
sweet yeast character. An unusual sort of treacle/burnt sugar character that I really dig. Itís definitely a sipper but it could make a nice winter warmer type of brew. Iím not sure what Moroccan about it, but that might be above my pay grade.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
On tap at Brothers Beer Bistro (Ottawa, ON). Dark brown body with a fair off-white creamy head. Decent malty aroma with hoppy, nutty, and brown sugar hints. Well balanced malty/hoppy taste carries oaky notes. Ends with a good bittersweet finish.

3.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Smokeless Joes, Toronto. Rich malty flavour with a distinct sweetness that brought molasses to mind. Thin head most enjoyable with a plate of mussels.

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap. Dark brown pour, tan head. low carbonation. Aroma has molasses, raisins, dried fruit. Soft, medium body. Nutty and quite bitter. Cinnamon and more dried fig. Long bitter finish that I didnít really like. Tastes like mincemeat tarts that my grandma used to make, which I also never liked. Its got some character and nice balance though, if youíre into it.

3.8 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 8/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 15/20
Draught At Session 99, June 23. Pours dark brown with an average size beige head. Slightly mild but nice aroma of dark malt, dark fruit and some light vinous notes (?). Very nice malty flavour along with some chocolate, nuts, dark fruit and a light but pleasant bitter finish. Medium bodied, creamy mouthfeel. Iím not much of a fan of Brown Ales but this is a solid, really good version of the style.
