355ml bottle. Pours a clear, ruby/caramel witha one finger, off white head. Aroma has nice, mildly roasty, notes with caramel, slight dark fruit, and a hint of spice. Taste is balanced with mild toast, caramel, dark fruits, and slight spice. Medium body and carbonation. Clean in the mouth with a mildly dry finish. Overall an easy drinking brown with just a hint of spices.

Pretty much all you need to know about this beer is right on the bottle, which I really dig.
First whiff smells amazing: dates, figs, prunes, raisins, and a little bit of spice from the cinnamon. But this beer loses its head faster than (oh hell this is unintentionally topical) Ann Boleyn at....a Thomas Cromwell dinner party? (...good save....)
Anyway it’s off with the head and off with the aroma at the same time, which is kind of a bummer. That being said this beer tastes beautiful, though it is more carbonated than I would’ve expected. Overall it’s still really nice, especially as the weather gets colder.

2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
(1178-080814)

A little short on aroma. However, a great looking beer with a delicious blend of date/ raisin and cinnamon resulting in a almost hazelnut flavor.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 11/20
A deep amber brown, thick luscious beige head. Sweet malty, caramel, raisins in the aroma. The taste is tame after reading the label which had me expecting figs, dates, raisins & cinnamon. The taste is a decent brown ale with very mild raisin/figs. After it warmed up the cinnamon came out a bit. OK but I was expecting more after reading the label.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Dark brown/amber pour with an average tan head that recedes quickly to a ring of lace. Lots of dried fruit, spice and roasted notes on the nose with an overlay of molasses. Really similar in flavour but leaning a little more towards gingerbread. There’s a little warmth to this that I’m not sure is pleasant and overall it feels like a Belgian brown that fed on the wrong yeast.

Not as brown as I was lead to believe, maybe brown is different in Morocco. More of a light rust smelling of caramel, basement, roast malts and nuts. It has a light sweetness about it, owing to a maple syrup flavour and toasted nuts. A medium body with relaxed carbonation and a nice tasty sipper.
