COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION

UPDATED: FEB 25, 2010 Draft @ De Paas in The Hague. Hazy yellow with orange glow, medium head, nice lacing. Aroma with lots of fruits, hops yeast and smoked wood. Full and sweet flavour, much like a quadruple, but then with a rich bitterness from the hops. Nice! Don’t really understand the low other ratings, I quite like this beer.

Bottle, 8.2%. Yeasty aroma, nicely citric and refreshing. Grapefruity hops. Hazy yellow colour. Small stable white head. The flavour is sweetish and fruity. There are some soft fruits and refreshing grapefruit hoppiness. Nicely vinous finish.

Bottle courtesy bu11zeye. Slightly cloudy yellow color with a foamy white head. Opened as a gusher. Aroma is light. Banana fruit with bits of candy lifesaver. Flavor is dusty attic, reminds me of backstage in a theater. Like the taste of old costumes. Don’t know how I came up with that, but I stand by it. Smell picks up on some grapefruit and blackberry that translates to the flavor. Very nice.

Not a particularly memorable beer. Pours golden with decent head. The taste is characterized by wheat and dark fruit, perhaps raisins.

Tap @ Wildeman. Clear yellow color, short head. Aroma of white grapes, bit spicy, berries, white wine. Dry taste, bit spicy, bit sweet. I was thinking of drinking white wine almost, but I liked it. Maybe from tap better than from bottle, because of the yeast?

UPDATED: MAR 5, 2012 Very pale beer. Clear, with a very nice white head. Aroma is black current, some funky freshness. Taste is very very interesting. Again black current, some herbs, juniper berry, fruity. Body is ok, carbonation is nice. A bit dry maybe. But a very surprising and pleasant beer!

Cloudy gold beer, small white head. Dry crisp palate. There some pleasant fruit but also odd dusty yeast with a hint of soap. Finishes semi dry. Wonky! 2.4

Aged version. Clear gold beer, little white head. Lactose sweet creamy malt. Light tangy orange, lesser dried fruits. Finishes soft. Mellowed nicely!

Bottle. Pale golden beer with a light head. The aroma is sweet and yeasty, and the flavour is very sweet and rich with a hint of lime and spiced at the finish. Overall a reasonable well spiced and sweet tasting quite roasted beer.
