ante (2549), Stockholm, Sweden Oct 22, 2008 Bottled at Monks Cafe, Stockholm. Clear dark amber with a medium-sized lasting white foam. Acidic (infected?) aroma with notes of hay, red currant and cardboard. Light-bodied with notes of nuts, red berries, glue and grass. Quite raw mouthfeel. Acidic finish of rowanberries, cardboard and grapefruit-peels. Ungstrup (11570), Frederiksberg, Denmark Aug 31, 2008 Bottled. A dark amber beer with a thin beige head. The aroma is rather sweet with strong notes of caramel. The flavor is sweet with notes of caramel, leading to a dry and slightly bitter finish. The body is thin. Thanks to fonefan and Brugmansia for sharing. yngwie (3702), Kristiansand, Norway Aug 30, 2008 Bottle, thx to fonefan. It pours an amber, more or less clear body with a minimal beige head. Toffee, roasted malt and a sourish in the aroma. The flavor has a sour, citrusy start, before some malt kicks in, and it finishes malty sweet and moderately bitter. Medium body. A really boring but surely drinkable beer. Even though it seems to have started the journey towards awful-tasting. (080822)
