Mes_and_Sim (3967), London, Greater London, England May 10, 2008 Updated: May 19, 2008 A Sim rate (draft at Speights Southerner - Temple, London): My numbers seem all over the place, but they’re accurate to the experience. The aroma is almost non-existent with a bit of a commercial beeriness about it. Flavour is totally different. Sweet, yet salty. A quick hit of flavour that disappears as soon as it arrives. It’s oh so fresh with nice maltiness. Fruit in the quick finish. Palate is great in its refreshing quality. Almost carbonated. Bit of a fizz in the mouth with a clean, crisp finish. Really enjoyed this one.

Info: 330ml bottle, 20/6-2007 patricks110 (102), Alberta, Canada Jun 23, 2008 Not too bad. Had in bottle. Hoppy and grass aroma which has hints of nuttiness. Dark orangey brown colour with medium off white head. Taste is of malts and caramels. Kiwi_Jonno (24), Christchurch, New Zealand Jun 19, 2008 On tap. Iv always had a soft spot growing up for the "Southern Man" beer. Gentle grassy hop aroma. Can’t comment on head size as keg pours a huge head. Short lasting head though I thought. Amber brown beer. Hops that are complex but weak in bitterness dominate this beer. Better then CD, would probably rather have a DB. martinboer (1297), Amsterdam, Netherlands May 22, 2008 Bottle at Coco’s Outback. Darker orange body. Floral nose. Prickly. Lots of hops, with grassy notes. Some caramel/malts. Enjoyable. phishpond417 (1162), Green Bay, Wisconsin, USA May 18, 2008 Brought back from my friend when she went to New Zealand: Pours an orange coloured body with a medium sized white head. Noticeable earthy characteristics, aroma is floral with soft berry fruit. Taste is clean, slightly grainy midpalate.
