2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 Aldrighetti (163) - Coltura, ITALY - OCT 23, 2004
(Bottle) Pale glden colour, nice head, good lace. Nose gives sweet aroma, like a bad industrial-pastourized-filtered honey. Very light hoppy charachter. Taste is sweet too, with a strange alcohol-burnt sensation for a 5% alc. beer. Thin mouthfeel.
2.3 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 mullet (849) - Melbourne, AUSTRALIA - SEP 21, 2004
Amazingly clear yellow-gold colour with poor head retention. Slightly vegetabley (DMS?) aroma over the top of some thick honey-molassesey malt and a faint bit of metal. Thick, milky malt flavour with quite a fat mouthfeel. Tastes darker than it looks, with a firm but fleeting bitterness and a bit of tin in the finish. A bit too cloying and thick to make me really want to drink any more, but it’s not too bad.
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 DrnkMcDermott (2619) - Downers Grove, Illinois, USA - MAY 25, 2004
Canned, served on Scandianvian Air flight. Pretty pale, closer to an American style mega. Nonexeistent head. Slightly "beery" smell, then the taste" at first an odd sweetness, but that goes away. I then get a nice hint of hop dryness. I think I’m getting a notable alcohol component, like in a Foster’s. Lovely can printed in a repeating pattern to give it some texture.
2.1 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20 fiulijn (12179) - Malmö, DENMARK - MAY 4, 2004
Keg Blond color, poor head. Undistinguishable aroma. Reasonable body strength, well bitter. Simple lager (South Europe style).
1 AROMA 2/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 1/10 PALATE 1/5 OVERALL 4/20 JensenTaster (1719) - DENMARK - APR 8, 2004
(on tap) This is where I get off. No head, even from tap and a sadly metalic taste, that attacks even the nose. The weak hopping and aromas disapears in coughing and swearing from a really bad beer experience.
2.5 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20 Dredd (636) - Bentleigh, AUSTRALIA - APR 7, 2004
interesting that this beer has come half way round the world and is sold in Ikea! This is quite innofensive, slightly sweet aroma and flavour with a slight bitter aftertaste. Could this be Sweden's answer to the Aussie beer VB? I think it could be, the only question is through would it give the VB Hangover? Sadly at $3AUD i don't think i'll be finding out any time soon.
2.2 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20 Ungstrup (26193) - Citizen of the universe, DENMARK - OCT 9, 2003
A golden beer with a small disappearing head. The aroma is lightly sweet. The flavor is malty sweet with a modest bitterness. Just another boring lager.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 Bov (8158) - Bienne, SWITZERLAND - AUG 26, 2003
golden colour, few head, moderate hoppiness, full-bodied with some bitterness in the finish
2.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 7/20 CEZ (393) - Milano, ITALY - JUL 22, 2003
Golden colour, good head. Aroma is rather sweet. Mild malty taste which fails to develop a real hop character, even in the aftertaste, when some bitterness is revealed. Rather thin-bodied and watery. Not undrinkable, but boring.
2.7 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20 larsniclas (4980) - Billdal, SWEDEN - JUN 22, 2003
Nice head, but fastly diminishing. SOme hop/perfume-aroma and some bitterness.
Not that bad, but not really good either.
