Can. Nice head with excellent duration. Color is dark brown. Aroma and taste are roast malt, nuts, caramel, chocolate and hops. Surprisingly good.

Mahogany with a huge deep beige head. Sweet aroma with roasted malt, caramel and hints chocolate. Sweet flavour with burned caramel and roasted malt. Finished sweet. A bit to sweet.

Botella. Clear dark brown colour. Sweet malty mildly spiced aroma. Sweet, bit bready caramel well toasted malty flavour with some spice ending with a soft bitter-sweet finish.

Ruby red, small tan head. Roasted, spicey, pleasant aroma. Malty, roasted flavor, long roasted, a bit hoppy aftertaste. Balanced roasted malts, complex enough and certainly one of the better Spendrups brews.

Canned. A dark brown coloured beer with alarge tan coloured head, but this dissipates fairly quickly. The aroma is malty and fruity and maybe a little burnt. The taste is malty and sweet. Some nutty notes and some caramel. Really very drinkable and nicely tasty. Much better than expected. Cool.

Amber color with an ok head. There is not much aroma, but maybe it brings some sweetness. Has a rather weak flavor, a boring beer...

(50 cl can from Swedish Systembolaget) Sweet scent, not much else. Clear red color, tan head. Dry roasted a bit metallic and buttery taste. Papery and stale aftertaste. Cardboard oxidated taste. Astringent bitterness.

Some beers and food at a late lunch gathering with Finn and Catweazle during Die Stadezeit. A 330ml bottle of this Swedish yule beer came first and stood forth in a clear, red-brown coloured body with a moderate brownish head. Malty aroma with notes of plums. Balanced flavour of roasted grain with taste of dry bitterness in the ending. Rounded mouthfeel (28.12.2006).
