2.6 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 10/20
0.5l can courtesy of ogivlado (thanks!)
Poured a nice brown cola-like body with a white head that went away at a medium pace. MIld caramelly nose, bit malty. The taste is unfortunately also mild and watery. Caramel, malt (slightly roasty), light breadiness... hop shows up stronger than expected but only near the end and in the aftertaste (still far from mind blowing). All in all, what could’ve been a nice beer is ruined by a body that’s way too light for its own good. Pleasant, drinkable but dull.

Darkish red and poured with a big head
which soon dissapeared. Slightly malty
and quite well balanced. Not exceptional but better than I had expected.

3.1 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Dark ruby brown. Caramelly nose, with tones of anise. Flavour is, just like the 3,5 version, quite nice and tasty with notes of salmiak(ammonium chloride). Long flavour.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 10/20
Bottle, at home.
Redbrown with a small head. Aroma moderate malty and hoppy (caramel). Flavor moderate sweet and light bitter. Light to medium body, soft carbonated. Not that much Christmas in this beer either!

2.4 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 9/20
This review is of two 500ml cans bought for me from IKEA in the UK, both BBD of 18 May 09, drank during a bad lager evening on 14 Mar 09.
Poured into my ’La Chouffe’ tulip glass (four times). Large off-white head sat on top of a dark amber, clear body. It looked fine and the glass showed it off to its full potential.
An aroma of tea with sugar was what I thought of as my nose approached the beer. Then some molasses and treacle came through.
The taste was strange, the tea smell gave way to a mild coffee flavour and some toffee sweetness, I didn’t like it much.
The body was weak, a bitter finish in the mouth didn’t help its cause and I was pleased they had been a free gift and I hadn’t paid for them.
Promised so much at first, but sadly lacking once tasted and when compared to other dark lagers.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20
Dark brown color, caramel and spice in the nose. Slightly sour, caramel, milk chocolate in the mouth. Caramel raisin finish. This would be better if it just wasn’t so sour.

2.3 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 8/20
Sample at a Systembolaget tasting. Sweet and fruity smel with some dried fruit and light notes of marcipan. Mild taste with notes of wort bread. Not as bad as the other industrial beers but still not very good.
