Bottle. 5.6%. Best before 26.09.13. Pours a clear, dark reddish brown with a big tan head. Good lacing. Malty aroma with a hoppy overtone. Light roasted and vanilla notes. Flavour is malty. Feels a bit thin/watery. Sweetish as it warms; a bit cloying. Bitter, tart finish, bordering wine. Lingering light roasted note and a bit of apple. Overall okay, if nothing special; aroma is better than flavour, which feels too thin, and a bit too sweet. 02.09.13.

500ml bottle. Dark brown head with a dash of red. Thick whitebrown head. Malty rye bread taste with elements of sourdough, chocolate, orange and a hint of coffee. Bitter orange brief aftertaste. Medium, fizzy and brief carbonation. I never liked products within the Pistonhead range, but this one is at least ok.
