500 ml bottle.
Pours a golden colour with a small white head. Aroma of grainy malts, toffee and some herbal notes. Flavour of sweet grainy malts, herbs, toffee and some citric tartness. Medium bodied, slightly dry mouthfeel with a grainy, sweet and light bitter finish. Quite an average Helles.

Bottle, picked up at the brewery and consumed on the main drag of sulzbach watching the town’s annual parade led by a band of Scottish bagpipers. A really good mix of all the possible helles flavours which seem amped up a bit. There’s some caramel, menthol, hay, honey and red berry with a chewy texture. A good reminder that with a helles, being usually subtle (read dull), the only chance of it being interesting is if it is super fresh? One of the most vigorous and intense helleses I’ve tried

Sorry for the german rating, but this is a lousy rating from my "newbie" time (2007-2009), and it’s not worth of being translated. I just added it for the statistics, and to complete my backlog!

Light copper. Big thick head. Bready aroma has a slightly rustic, cidery note. Strawlike character with fairly low hopping. Not much character to this blandish example but it drinks easy enough.
