Maria (3816), Thisted, Denmark May 9, 2008 From tap at the brewery. Steinkrug. The aroma has light floral and malty notes. The flavour has a light sweetness and a light bitterness with a refreshing, slightly dry citrus note and some caramel. It’s nice and OK, but also somewhat anonymous.
imdownthepub (3963), Banbury, Oxfordshire, Oxfordshire, England Jul 12, 2008 On tap at Spezial Beergardens, Bamberg. Yellow gold with white head. Hoppy sweet beer, perfect for the heat in the beer garden, quite still with a wheaty, grain type note and a hint of tartness. Fresh and tasty, its good to get a hop kick. acrdz (4148), Pennsylvania, USA Jun 5, 2008 Mug at the brewery in Bamberg. Mostly clear dark yellow body with a white head. Up front it’s sweet but turns to semi-sour, husky grains over the middle in a hurry. Medium tartness, yeast grains and wheat germ flavors all around. Fresh tasting but it has some mold in the nose at times, resembling soggy bread. Lightly crisp, lightly sweet. Nice overall. Jukkabro (2307), Tampere, Finland Aug 27, 2007 Dark yellow colored, slightly hazy appearance. Medium sized white head. Yeasty, flowery, cellary aroma, still rather clean one, maybe some cardboard comes up. Medium bodied. Flavor starts also as sweet one with fruits and lemon, paper and cardboard in drying aftertaste. Dryness lasts with hops, crispy carbonated palate. CaptainCougar (4601), Rockville, Maryland, USA Aug 19, 2007 On tap at the brewery on 6/7/07: Pours a hazy golden with a wispy-lacing white head. Aroma of fresh, earthy grassy hops and light pale malt. Body starts fairly full with nice carbonation and good, lightly sweet pale malt along with big floral earthy herbal hops. Nicely balanced, full-bodied and refreshing.
