Bottle: firm off-white head, hazy, amber coloured, nearly "normal" strong fruity nose: bananas, lemons and cloves, too, smoke barely detectable; astonishingly fresh fruity (citrousy) flavour; finish fruity again with delicate hints of smoke in the aftertaste; medium bodied. A decent, quite fresh and tasty Weizen !

Bottle at Akkurat, Stockholm. Foggy bronze colour with a big white head. Simplistic banana and clove aroma. Flavour starts of banana but subtle smokey and peaty notes appears. Interesting finish of wheat and smoked wood in the aftertaste. More ssmoke, please.

Smoked and banana fruitiness, much "hefe" 3 a 4 mm on the bottem before opening. Rather a nice weizen.

Hazy, golden orange colour with a traditional weiss-bier head. Banana aroma with just a hint of smoke. Yeast and citrus flavour with a gentle touch of smoke in the background. Not bad but I expected more smoke.

Hazy, clouded golden with a frothy, well-lacing white head. Aroma has a nice blend of citrus, banana and smoked malt. Body starts lightly sweet with a touch of lemon and black pepper in the finish. Nice mild smokiness, nowhere near as intense as the Schlenkerla Weiss.

Bottled. Cloudy yellow coloured with a huge white head. Fruity aroma of bananas with notes of spices. Sweet flavour of bananas with notes of yeast, hops and spices. The smoke is hard to detect.

(bottle) Hazy orange-amber colour with a big rocky almost white head. Quite shy aroma of toasted malts and banana fruitiness. Soft malty flavour, light to medium body. Malty taste with a spare hint of smokiness and a citrus fruity clove spicy finish. I expected more body and smoke. Still a decent Weizen. (Thanks to pivnizub for this and the other samples !)

Bananashell aroma, only a bit of smoke in the flavor. A top beer suitible to the food at the gasthaus Spezial in Bamberg.

(Bottled) Opaque orange-golden color with a medium, thick and white head and lots of large, dark yeast particles. A bit stuffy, burned and berry-sweetish wheat aroma. Flavor of burned sugar, toffee and wheat. Slight smokiness comes in the finish. Sourish, medium-bodied, not very refreshing palate with soft carbonation. A bit stuffy, not that enjoyable weizen.

Bottled (BB 10/2005)
Hazy orange, small white head. Floating yeast particles. Interesting aroma: burnt rye-bread, malts, some berries. Flavor has wheat, burnt brown sugar and sourness. Quite unique hefeweizen.
