COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Boris pours black and opaque like a moonless sky over Siberia. Eight different malts bring a complex aroma and flavor of chocolate, coffee and roasty sweetness. And just in case the winter gets too cold, we brewed this giant spider to 10% abv. So grab you snifter and ushanka and enjoy. ты был укушен

Aroma of coffee and chocolate. Really smooth, but surprisingly lacking in taste. A decent beer, I'd have to try again. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

Got in a BIF from beerloserLI. 12 ounce bottle into snifter, no bottle dating. Pours dense pitch black color with a small dense dark tan head with good retention, that reduces to a thin cap that lingers. Light spotty lacing clings on the glass, with a fair amount of streaming carbonation retaining the cap. Aromas of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, molasses, toast, dark bread, light raisin/plum, herbal, light char, and roasted earthiness. Nice and pleasant aromas with good balance and complexity of dark/roast/bready malt, earthy hops, and light fruity yeast notes; with solid strength. Taste of big dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, molasses, toast, dark bread, light raisin/plum, herbal, light char, and roasted earthiness. Moderate amount of herbal/roast/charred bitterness on the finish; with lingering notes of dark chocolate, cocoa, coffee, molasses, toast, dark bread, herbal, light char, and roasted earthiness on the finish for a while. Very nice robustness, complexity, and balance of dark/roast bready malt, earthy hops, and light fruity yeast flavors; with a nice roasted bitterness/sweetness balance and zero cloying flavors after the finish. Light carbonation and full bodied; with a very smooth, creamy, and slightly slick/sticky/chalky mouthfeel that is nice. Alcohol is very well hidden with only a small warmth lingering after the finish. Overall this is a very nice Russian imperial stout style. All around good complexity, robustness, and balance of dark/roast/bready malt, earthy hops, and light fruity yeast flavors; and very smooth to sip on for the big ABV. A very enjoyable offering.

Draft. Mild chocolate aroma over thick creme colored head that lingers. More chocolate sweet than coffee. ---Rated via Beer Buddy for iPhone

12 ounce bottle received from nimbleprop in a locals trade. Black as an ink blotter. A tan head. Not a big aroma but it is roast and dark malts. The flavor is bigger. Roasted notes with dark fruit and chocolate. It does not drink like a 10% ABV beer. Citrus fruit is generally sweet. Grape flavors are a surprise. The feel is powdery and dry but also has a syrupy aspect.

Czekoladowy, słodki aromat. Brak piany, czarny, nieprzejrzysty. Rzadki w ustach jak na RISa. W smaku ok, kawa, czekolada, delikatne żelazo. Zbyt cienki jak na imperial stout.

[Bottle (12oz)] Pours a very dark brown with an average size diminishing frothy light-brown head. Aroma of sweet roasted malt, chocolate, some coffee, a bit of vanilla and light leafy hops. Roasty, slightly syrupy flavour along with light leafy hops, coffee and chocolate. Moderate bitter finish. Alcohol is somewhat hidden. Average to medium bodied. Not a home run but pretty good indeed.

Nearly opaque, black color with a small, tan head that left nice lacing on the glass. Aroma of roasted malts, chocolate malts, coffee, dark fruits, light alcohol. Taste of roast, cocoa, more coffee, some dried fruitiness, and some alcohol in the finish.

Growler, thanks tom! Pours thick unclear brownish black dark with a creamy dark burnt caramel head. Aroma brings sweet roasted coffee malts and some crust. Flavor is bitter roasted coffee, clean but big on the palate with a smooth body for the high ABV. Delicious!

12oz bottle pours a very inky, opaque black with some creamy, brown head. Nose has lots of red grape, rubber too, pencil lead, molasses, some yeast, chery, chocolate, even a little strawberry, roasty too. Flavor has cola, malt, rubber, roast, yeasty bread, a little mushroom. Full bodied finish.

Pours a dark black with thick brown head. Has a faint nut and roasted malt aroma. A smooth and thick beer with coffee, chocolate, and roasted malt taste. A creamy finish with a light coffee aftertaste.

Pours with a great dark brown head. Not much aroma but the taste is great. Good alcohol burn. Flavors of smoke, oak, and coffee. Good beer for sure!
