For having the name Hopluia as well as dry hopping, you don't get much hoppiness out of it. Smooth finish no real bitterness.

3.6 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 15/20
On tap at Beertopia. Pour is golden orange with a frothy white head and great lacing. Sweet caramelly, tropical fruity, oranges, mangos, light grass, and bready aroma. Taste is well-balanced and easy drinking - grapefruits, orange peel, caramel, grassy, and doughy with a lightly bitter finish. Medium body with high carbonation. Not bad.

Gold pour, white head. Quite a bit of hops up front in this one. And a nice yeasty, creamy quality that surprised me. Really a pretty decent APA

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
I got this in a bomber at a Hy-Vee grocery store. This was really undercarbonated and the beer was pretty flat after a few moments. No head retention at all. Def has Simcoe hops it it but couldnít really well what else, maybe Columbus. Pretty dark for a pale but it is not cloyingly sweet from crystal malts. Would be a pretty solid beer if tweaked a bit.

3.2 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Orange-amber with a white head. The aroma is full of orange and pine with some biscuit malt. The flavor is similar with the lighter orange notes coming through up front. The bitterness is balanced out by the biscuit malt. Medium mouthfeel and medium carbonation.

3.5 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 16/20
On tap. Poured a clear amber with a good head and weak retention. Aroma was hoppy, herbal, and fruity with Belgian yeast. Taste was sweet, yeasty, and lots of malt flavor and almost no hoppiness or bitterness to speak of.

2.9 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
On tap at Buzzard Billys (Lincoln). Dark amber and clear with minimal head. Tropical fruit, citrus hop and sweet malt aroma. Similar flavor, a little watery. It was OK.

2.1 AROMA 4/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20
Bottle: Clear reddish-copper color. Hints of hops in the aroma and the flavor is all down hill, the wrong hill. Overly citrus in the flavor and flavors of battery acid. Awful astringent aftertaste. It is the opposite of Hopluia. It should be Hop Damned. Yuck.

Although listed as an IPA, I consider this a pale ale. I donít know what hops are used in this, but it is reminiscent of an English pale al.
There is a fair amount of bubble gum aroma and flavor. Body is light-medium and carbonation is low-low medium. Color is copper-amber and beautifully clear. A delicious pale ale that I look for every time I am near the brewery!
