3 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 12/20 Lou18 (1353) - West Paterson, New Jersey, USA - MAR 2, 2006
Thanks to EBOATS! Poured a very thick amber with a fizzy and creamy head. Nose was grapefruit man. Very sticky nose, hops, hops, hops. Wow, taste is very light compared to the nose. This is fruity-hoppy dry and a bit bitter. Out of a can, great experience.

CAN from eboats Thanks!
Pours a thick, bubbly amber with a fast diminishing head. Aroma predominantly orange, but a bit of sour grapefruit in the background. Flavor is very orangy, with floral highlights and watery grapefruit. Palate is a bit on the thick side, but just barely. Overall, a nice "lawnmower" style IPA. I’d drink more, for sure-- especially on a butt-ass hot summer day.

16oz can via eboats shared with ClarkVV. Pours a dark orange color with a white foamy head. Nose is fizzy hops and a light malt scent. Flavors of pine hops, light caramel malt. Quite carbonated palate and a bitter finish. Cool that its in a 16 oz can, but nothing stellar.

16oz can via trade with eboats - Pours amber slightly cloudy with a fair offwhite head that stayed well and laced the sides of the glass. Aroma of grapefruit, pineapple and faint caramel malts. Taste begins with light caramel malts but then grapefruit and pine flavors come through. Finishes bitter and almost sour citrus. Palate is quite carbonated and a little unbalanced. This was pretty good for something out of a can but overall a little average..

Thanks to Sledge Jr for this one.
Large fizzy fleeting head over a medium amber colored body.
Some malt in the aroma with some pineapple.
Nothing on the tongue until the very back. Little sweetness or bitterness. Some dryness. The various parts are either missing or failing to come together in this one.

On tap at Crescent Moon in Omaha.
Dark amber color, with small head that disapeared quickly with a little lacing.
Smell is citrusy, floral and some pine. Not much hop aroma to it.
Taste starts out kind of sweet with some caramel. Not very much hop bitterness, and very little carbonation. Not quite what I was expecting for an IPA..
2.5 AROMA 5/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 9/20 RateandPillage (426) - Atlanta, Georgia, USA - JUL 18, 2005
Pours medium gold-copper with good off-white head. Not as much hop aroma as I expected from the "rare" practice of dry-hopping. Good amount of bitterness hops for a Pale Ale, but not nearly enough for an IPA. Somewhat thin on the palate. Quite drinkable, but slightly below average for style.
2 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 2/5 OVERALL 8/20 Walt (2449) - Austin, Texas, USA - JUL 6, 2005
Pour is deep ruby amber with a nice tan head...smell is hoppy pine, feet, aging vegetables...taste is richly sweet up first followed by syrupy mild hop flavor...blech...

Burnt copper color with respectable, frothy head - promising aroma of resinous hops, pine, and background malts and fruity esters (strawberry mostly) - this is the first beer I’ve had from a can in a while, and I’m reminded why now - a metallic taste runs from beginning to finish, crushing the otherwise promising flavors of bready malts, lighty fruitiness and moderate hop profile - medium bodied, with a watery finish - this would probably be much better if it were bottled.

Clear reddish orange with a quickly dying head. Aroma is metallic (from the can!) and slightly hoppy. Taste has moderate hops, which seem to fair better in the dry, bitter finish. Medium bodied. Aside from the slight metallics this is ok. I’d still take Dale’s Pale Ale from the can over this though.
