COMMERCIAL DESCRIPTION
Hopluia utilizes a rare practice called "dry hopping" in which hops are added directly to the keg. The resulting aroma builds anticipation of a truly unique brew that heightens the senses.

Slight bitter aftertaste with strong hoppy flavors, best with a meal. I recommend this!

Bottle: Clear reddish-copper color. Hints of hops in the aroma and the flavor is all down hill, the wrong hill. Overly citrus in the flavor and flavors of battery acid. Awful astringent aftertaste. It is the opposite of Hopluia. It should be Hop Damned. Yuck.

Although listed as an IPA, I consider this a pale ale. I don’t know what hops are used in this, but it is reminiscent of an English pale al. There is a fair amount of bubble gum aroma and flavor. Body is light-medium and carbonation is low-low medium. Color is copper-amber and beautifully clear. A delicious pale ale that I look for every time I am near the brewery!

Draft. Poured clear copper color with an average frothy off-white head that lasted with good lacing. Moderate citrus hop aroma. Medium body with a slick texture and soft carbonation. Moderate bittersweet flavor with a moderate bittersweet finish of medium duration. Soft good brew.

pale copper with one finger head. i love hoppy IPAs, and picked this up, expecting lots of hops. hoppiness is definitely underwhelming for a beer with hop in the name, probably more of a pale ale, and fairly boring.

Bottle picked up at Beertopia Omaha, opened in Exira, Iowa. Clear, copper orange appearance with a small off white head that has pretty poor head retention. A bit spicy, organic, light earthy hoppy aroma with some light citrus and spice notes. A bit tangy, fairly spicy, organic hoppy, lightly toasty flavor. Fairly low carbonation.

16 oz bottle: Pours a light copper, with a thin head that dissipates quickly. Aroma is pine and citrus hops, bready malts. Taste is of dry hop flavors with light citrus. Palate was thin but very smooth. Overall this was a thin IPA, smooth but not hop forward. The dry hopping seems to have been done with very mellow hops, dry finish.

Courtesy of John K; thank you sir. This was poured at a good temperature, with a fine, off white head that settles out and some lace. Color is an almost clear, slightly dark yellow. Aroma is malt, beer, hop, fruit. Flavor is like nose, and for a dry hopped, IPA very inadequate. Body and carbonation ok. Finish is like flavor and on the short side.

Bottle. Pours a clear gold with fizzy white head. Notes of citrus hops, plastic, some fruit esters, balanced bitter and dry. Light-medium body, watery, high carbonation. Simple brew.
