3.6 AROMA 8/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Poured a clear, orange body beneath a rocky white head. Aroma was well hopped. Flavour and mouth were acceptable. Not the best IIPA ever for me, but it was okay.

4.5 AROMA 9/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 9/10 PALATE 5/5 OVERALL 18/20
One of the better strong beers I have had. At such a high alcohol this beer is very clean tasting.

3.3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Tap. Pours a clear pale yellow gold with a small wispy white head. Some moderate citrusy hops on the nose, but a heavier influence from the caramel malt base. The flavor is on the lighter side for bitterness for the style, lots of caramel and toasted maltiness. Mouthfeel is fairly light as well but still a bit sticky and clingy with soft minimal carbonation. OK, but not a standout, especially for the style.

1.9 AROMA 3/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 4/10 PALATE 4/5 OVERALL 4/20
A 6 pack of cans from Liquor Barn in Burnaby Heights. Pours medium amber with generous white head. Moderate lacing on the glass (as if we care about lacing!). A trace of hop and malt on the nose. In the mouth: sweet and malted with the slightest trace of hop.
Omigod this is brutal! If youíre used to good craft IPA, this is an affront to the taste buds. Listen up, readers. This here concoction is better than (blech!) malt liquor, but only just. Steer clear!
Addendum: Evidently they decided not to waste good money on hops for this brew. If I were living on welfare and this stuff were priced at a buck a can, I could go for this crap. As nasty as it is, I can get it down and keep it down, and the extra alcoholíl git ya drunk fasta. Yah!

3 AROMA 7/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 12/20
Bomber. mostly clear orange with a vanishing off-white head. Fruity malty aroma. Taste is toffee sweet, fruity and malty, light floral hoppiness. Soft carbonation, medium bodied, moderately hopped. ABV is well hidden. Flattens out towards the finish. I would toss this one in the ASA category. NFL (Not For Lagerboys)

3.3 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 4/5 TASTE 7/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
Bomber my niece brought for me - how awesome is that??? Lovely and lively orange pour, large lasting fluffy straw-coloured head. Aroma is quite sharp - dry yeast, lemon, weirdly milk solids? - some alcohol for sure. Taste is dry, slightly sour, quite minerally and leafy, subdued alcohol, but it builds. light body, quite airy, tart, dry, vaguely citrus fruity in the finish.

Bottle share. Hazy amber with suspended 'ticulates. Malty with late dry nose. Oddly metallic dry taste. Straw.

2.8 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 2/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 11/20
An odd one to rate. They changed the packaging from IIPA to Double Pale Ale? Iím guessing they had a recipe for an old-style English IPA and doubled the malt or something, thatís what it tastes like. Itís not as bad as its "2 percentile" rating makes it look. As people have said itís just a blonde ale with more kick.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 5/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 14/20
Pours a clear gold with a lasting thin foam head. Aroma is sweet and malty with nice oily hops. Tastes very nice indeed - crisp hopping with good malting. Light finish. Not citrusy - rather surprising! Alcohol hidden. Tastes more like a regular IPA than a double/imperial pale ale. Good crisp body, find but adequate carbonation. Very quaffable, not particularly bold or imperial but a good beer nonetheless. My understanding is that this is a double pale ale - not a double INDIA pale ale. Not sure if I am out to lunch on that but I didnít think it was intended to be a DIPA.

3.1 AROMA 6/10 APPEARANCE 3/5 TASTE 6/10 PALATE 3/5 OVERALL 13/20
650ml bottle pours a golden orange color with a finger of white head that leaves very little lacing behind. Aroma is mild citrus hops with some grains. Taste is fruity and caramel malty sweet with a moderate citrusy hop bitterness. Light to medium body with light carbonation. A refreshing and easy to drink brew that does not quite measure up in this category.
