Spinnakers Doc Hadfields Pale Ale

Draft at the brewpub; Nose of citrusy hops; yellow with a medium glass-lacing white head; lemon and light hop bitterness; finish lightly bitter.

Very good cask. That they had two casks of the three on was a plus. At the brewpub in Victoria. Lacey, very drinkable. Light mouthfeel, a natural carbonation messaging the soft parts. Served at the right temperature.

on hand pump-pours a white head with disappearing bubbles and yellow color. Aroma is faint pine. Taste is thin, malt, slight hops, light fruit/diacytl? Or yeast.

Blonde/light bronze with lightly fluffy head. Interesting light hopping, slightly dank aroma, with a dank, but mildly pleasant hop flavor. English styled.

Hand pump at brewpub. Nice grainy sweet aroma with honey and light neutral fruit aromas. Very little hops. Golden yellow clear with a slight haze and a couple of floaties. Thin off-white lacing head. Light watery body with smooth carbonation. Starts with mild grain taste followed by some honey and wheat. Smooth throughout with clean mild sweet finish. Nice session ale.

Gold body, nice white head. Fruity and floral aroma accented by hops, light caramel. Taste has crystal malt, somewhat of a wheat character, and citrus.

Pours a crystal clear pale yellow with a light frothy head and a sweet, slightly honey-like aroma. Very weak pale malting, some hops, and an otherwise thin aftertaste. Weak body with decent carb. More malt please!

Cask handpull at Spinnaker’s, Victoria. Gold colour, lasting beige head. Biscuity yeasty aroma. Quite light in body, reminds me of Caledonian Deuchars IPA. Its got subtle citrus hop. Really easy drinking session bitter. Lovely creaminess, slight earthiness.
