Rastacouere (5551), Montréal, Quebec, Canada Mar 23, 2006 Totally clear pale yellow hue, seriously limited white head. Mostly fresh smelling, hoppy beer that is very light, if not quite appearing under 4%, but feels like a very good summer concept that is unfortunately touched with light turnipy DMS off notes tat disturb the otherwise serious grapefruity, sweaty hops (Columbus?). Lean mouth presence, hoppy, softly carbonated and easy drinking. Despite its wateriness, it shows a lot of confidence in its hop display, mostly bright, grapefruity and almost grapey. Fruity session ale. BeerLimey (1873), California, USA Aug 14, 2005 Lightly clouded orangey amber hue. Rich yeasty, fruity aroma. Yeasty, berry fruit flavor, fairly sweet, mild hop bitterness in the finish. mj (4973), Colorado, USA Aug 5, 2005 Cask at the brewery
Clear gold color. Husky grain malt nose, light and fresh bananas as well. Pale, watery, simple flavor, but with a good hefty body for a cask ale. shadey (1496), Rochester, New York, USA Jun 5, 2005 Clear pale orange with thin soapy white film. Light honey aroma. Nice smooth palate. Honey and floral flavors with light hops in the finish. BeerPrince (1701), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Mar 21, 2005 Hand pumped. Lighter beer nearing a blond but does have some nice flavour. Aroma is malty with some bread and slightly floral. Tastes slightly lager like but then adds a kick of light hops to finish. A good well made beer. CapFlu (3480), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Mar 18, 2005 (Cask) Medium white head with an orange amber body. The nose is more of an malty lager than a pale ale? Very wheaty and bready flavour. Acidic up-front, light, refreshing yet a good crystal malt finish. There is a fair balance between the hops and malt. Perhaps a tad watery for my palate but its strong for the style. stephen louis (162), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Oct 15, 2004
I have been waiting a while for this one to go back into rotation..worth the wait...a very mild but good beer.
on the pour:beautiful glowing amber yellow/orange,tiny head that fades very fast. The initial nose is sweet and has a hint of green grapes to it.
On Taste:very good.sweet and mild white wine like start, wild grapes, light malt and crystal malt,a light hop finish of citrus.
A little thin in the body.
A very drinkable beer with an amazingly good flavour.
This beer is designed to be a sessions beer.
frink (467), coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada Oct 8, 2004 Pours a nice golden colour with a thin white head. Has a nice floral hoppy nose and some yeastiness. The flavour I found to be a bit thin, a little more hop action would have served this beer better.
