I have been waiting a while for this one to go back into rotation..worth the wait...a very mild but good beer.
on the pour:beautiful glowing amber yellow/orange,tiny head that fades very fast. The initial nose is sweet and has a hint of green grapes to it.
On Taste:very good.sweet and mild white wine like start, wild grapes, light malt and crystal malt,a light hop finish of citrus.
A little thin in the body.
A very drinkable beer with an amazingly good flavour.
This beer is designed to be a sessions beer.
joss (3632), Garching b. München, Germany Aug 9, 2003 Slight honeyish malt nose.
Hazy golden, creamy head.
Bisquit notes -
well rounded.
slight nutty aftertaste
hides lightness well without hop overdose. shadey (1496), Rochester, New York, USA Jun 5, 2005 Clear pale orange with thin soapy white film. Light honey aroma. Nice smooth palate. Honey and floral flavors with light hops in the finish. Nate (2533), Indiana, Pennsylvania, USA Jul 26, 2007 Hand pump at brewpub. Nice grainy sweet aroma with honey and light neutral fruit aromas. Very little hops. Golden yellow clear with a slight haze and a couple of floaties. Thin off-white lacing head. Light watery body with smooth carbonation. Starts with mild grain taste followed by some honey and wheat. Smooth throughout with clean mild sweet finish. Nice session ale. Sammy (3934), Toronto, Ontario, Canada Feb 23, 2008 Very good cask. That they had two casks of the three on was a plus. At the brewpub in Victoria. Lacey, very drinkable. Light mouthfeel, a natural carbonation messaging the soft parts. Served at the right temperature. pantani (1894), Salinas, California, USA Jul 7, 2007 Gold body, nice white head. Fruity and floral aroma accented by hops, light caramel. Taste has crystal malt, somewhat of a wheat character, and citrus. frink (467), coquitlam, British Columbia, Canada Oct 8, 2004 Pours a nice golden colour with a thin white head. Has a nice floral hoppy nose and some yeastiness. The flavour I found to be a bit thin, a little more hop action would have served this beer better. Malakin (465), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada May 9, 2004 Nice hoppy nose. Overall it’s fairly light but balanced nicely with a hoppy aftertaste.
