From Firefly. Poured a clear medium-to-dark gold, and no damned head! Aroma was faint, spices were barely detectable. Flavour was better, nice and tart, with a similar finish. Lots of sediment at theend - a bonus! An adequate beer, but too costly for what it was.

Bottle, purchased from the brewery 3 months ago. Pours a hazy medium amber with a low almond head that retains poorly. Aroma is caramel and phenols. Flavours of caramel and unripened berries. Palate is tart, bordering on sour. Awkward, as I don’t think this was meant to be a sour ale but it leans heavily in that direction.

Hazy orange color; small head. Light, sweetish malt aroma, caramel, light vegetables and band-aid. Light malt flavor, incredibly light body for this gravity, very light cabbage and sourness. Failure.

22oz bomber from Brewery Creek in Vancouver. Pours an off gold, slightly hazy, with thin head and little retention. Aroma is certainly Belgian-esque but not in a huge way. Notes are muted and slightly weak. Taste is some candied apple, spice and thin hops. Finish lingers but mainly due to the alcohol content more than the lasting palate. Far from complex. It’s one of these generic, passable Belgian attempts that falls short when compared to a better beer of the style.

Lady_Bastet (113) - Burlington, Ontario, CANADA - APR 21, 2010
Poured hazy, golden from bottle. Lots of hops at first on the tongue then a slower finish, but in a good way. Lots of yeast floating with an overall balanced character. Very good with a nice bite. I was quite impressed.

Boutip (4677) - Gatineau, Quebec, CANADA - FEB 18, 2010
Bottle: Poured a deep golden color ale with a medium foamy head with average retention and no lacing. Aroma of sweet malt is dominating with no other characteristic easily discernible. Taste is also dominated by some sweet malt with notes of light fruity ester. Body is quite full with a somewhat oily texture and some medium carbonation with no apparent alcohol. Not bad overall just lacking some character.

66cl bottle. Pours copper with almost no head and appeared fairly lifeless. Nose of malts and the distinctive Belgian yeastiness. Tasty but not the best of this style.

650 mL bottle provided via trade with CapFlu. Pours orange-gold with spare white fizzy head, mostly diminishing, spare lacing. Aroma is heavy malt (straw, hay, meal), average hops (grass, herbs), heavy yeast (dough, barnyard) with notes of banana and corriander. Medium bodied, slick texture, soft carbonation and a smooth finish. Moderate sweetness, light acidity and bitterness; creamy yeast and malt farm flavors, light flowers and some alcohol.

mds (2205) - Toronto, Ontario, CANADA - OCT 22, 2006
Bottle. Pours a clear golden orange body with a tiny white head even after vigirous agitation. The aroma is belgian-like- spicy yeast, pears, banana, pepper, and clove. The flavour is quite sweet consisting of cereal and fruit. Warming alcohol.

Bottle. Pale golden, lowish head. Quite fruity aroma - a little bit belgian funk. Bubblegum, tropical fruit, honey melon. Lightbodied, somewhat oily mouthfeel, ok chewyness. Pretty muddled brew.
