pantani (1894), Salinas, California, USA Jul 7, 2007 Gold, with a nice white head. Taste is sweet, somewhat bland, just honey and pale malts. harrisoni (6703), Ashford, Kent, England Nov 10, 2006 On tap at Spinnaker’s, Victoria. Gold with thin white head. Some honey and stale malt on aroma. Sweetish honey in mouth. Finish is a little bitter. I rather like it. It’s silly and it’s too carbonated, but I love the honey and I like the crisp hop finish. Bit of lemon. I like it. joss (3632), Garching b. München, Germany Sep 17, 2006 Tap @ Spinnakers. Pale green golden, foamy head. Papery, slightly spicy nose. Tasteless, watery. Stop brewing this please. mj (4975), Colorado, USA Aug 5, 2005 Draft at the brewery
Clear yellow color. Thick, sweet, syrupy maple and sour honey up front, with some old compost-like starchy spent grains on the back of the tongue. Nose is just a bland, sour honey... not impressed with this one. BeerLimey (1873), California, USA Jul 20, 2005 Clear golden appearance. Malty, honey aroma. Initially sweet honey malt, turns fairly dry in the finish. Interesting deviance, more hopped than the traditional blonde version of honey beers. CapFlu (3480), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Mar 18, 2005 (Draught) Very light, clear, yellow body with an active carbonation. Thin, white creamy yet quick dissipating head. The nose is sweet and wheaty... perhaps tones of honey but I have to fight to smell them. Flavour is of sour milk. Not terribly enjoyable. stephen louis (162), Victoria, British Columbia, Canada Dec 19, 2004 on opening, slight hint of honey and floral hops. pours a very light gold, almost yellow, with very little head.
Taste:Fantastic. What a great flavour,a hint of honey, sweet hops, flowers, and honey cloves, nice light malt middle, more carbonation then pour would indicate, finish is dry from the hops, but almost a super slight buttery butanedione, in a very good way at the same time.
Body is fine and this beer is easy to drink..
BeerPrince (1701), Vancouver, British Columbia, Canada Oct 15, 2004 A nice honey ale. Aroma is yeast with noticeable sweet malts. This is a nice tasting beer that is light and refreshing. Smooth and enjoyable but not overwhelming as other beers tend to be.
